“Mick Mulvaney, director of the Office of Management and Budget, recently issued guidance that directs federal agencies to find ways to, in part, “reduce the size of the Federal Government’s workforce” and “Develop a plan to maximize employee performance.”

A good start toward fulfilling this directive would be to get rid of federal employees who do not perform any public duties but still are paid a government salary. Believe it or not, there are a surprising number of federal employees that don’t do any government work. Maximizing employee performance cannot be achieved without requiring federal employees to do the job they were hired to do.: More here. Stop Paying Federal Employees to Perform Union Business

Immigration:

“a recent case from Santa Clara, California, illustrates the reality of what happens when the sanctuary city mentality corrupts the justice system.

The Daily Beast has the story of Abhishek Gattani, an immigrant who is the CEO of a startup company there. Gattani was arrested after his wife Neha Rastogi went to police with a recording of him beating her. Gattani was charged with felony assault and other charges.

However, the Beast says that the charges were lowered to a non-violent felony due to a no-deportation policy by the Santa Clara District Attorney.” More here. SANCTUARY POLICIES CORRUPT LAW ENFORCEMENT

WASHINGTON (AP) — “The Federal Reserve said Wednesday the U.S. economy kept expanding in the early spring, with tight labor markets and many businesses reporting rising wages.

In its latest survey of economic conditions nationwide, the central bank found that it’s 12 regional banks all depicted growth as either “modest or moderate” from mid-March through early April. The strength came from consumer spending, tourism, housing construction and manufacturing.

The report said businesses reported tight labor markets with more job turnover and bigger wage increases for workers whose skills were in short supply.” More here. Fed survey finds moderate economic growth in spring

Wow, talk about corruption. Lengthy but well worth the read by Sharyl Attkisson.

You can find many timelines that follow allegations of Russia tampering in the U.S. election and alleged involvement of Trump officials. But I couldn’t find any comprehensive timelines cross-referencing Obama-era surveillance of whistleblowers, journalists and other U.S. citizens with Russia surveillance allegations. So I built one. Please note: temporal proximity of events doesn’t necessarily imply a connection. More here. Obama-era Surveillance Timeline
