“A Vatican hospital says it is ready and willing to care for British infant Charlie Gard if the courts allow him to go but British officials are refusing to allow the little boy to leave the country.
The Italian news outlet Zenit reports leaders of the Bambino Jesus pediatric hospital in Rome, Italy said they are willing to care for Charlie if the courts will allow him to be transferred to their hospital. But it looks like that will not happen.

“A woman from Las Vegas who died of brain injuries after being beaten into a coma by her ex-boyfriend predicted her own death on social media.
Stella Martinez, 39, was attacked and choked on the ground in her back yard on 3 June by 41-year-old Christopher Wood, who had broken into her home, according to police. “A Missouri man has been charged with statutory sodomy of a one-year-old, but not before he received a beating from the infant’s father.
Jayson Newlun, a 26-year-old family friend who was babysitting for friends, was caught inappropriately touching the child while pleasuring himself after being left alone with the baby for just 10 to 15 minutes, according to local media.
Court documents show that the mother and father had left Mr Newlun alone with their daughter while they went to the store. After realising that they had forgotten their WIC folder — which contains vouchers to assist low income families pay for food for children — they returned home.
Once they returned, the mother noticed that Mr Newlun wasn’t on the couch where he had been when they left, and that her infant daughter’s bedroom door was open.

“Comedian Kathy Griffin was interviewed by members of the Secret Service for more than an hour after she posed for photos with a fake severed head that appeared to resemble President Trump.

“A man who spent 10 years at Guantanamo Bay after fighting U.S. troops in Afghanistan will receive $8 million and an apology from Canada, reports CNN.
Omar Khadr successfully sued Canada for violating international law by conspiring with the U.S. and not protecting one of its own citizens. “Turkish military preparations in northwest Syria are legitimate measures against a threat from Kurdish forces in the Afrin region, and Turkey will retaliate against any hostile move, Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmus told Reuters on Wednesday.
Kurtulmus was responding to the head of the Syrian Kurdish YPG militia, who told Reuters that Turkish military deployments near Kurdish-held areas of northwestern Syria were a declaration of war which could trigger clashes within days.
The YPG forms a major part of the U.S.-backed campaign to capture Islamic State’s stronghold of Raqqa. It also controls a pocket of territory in Afrin, about 200 km (125 miles) west of Raqqa. “Two mothers have been arrested in the landmark case against a Michigan doctor and two of her associates charged with performing female genital mutilation (FGM) on six girls, The Detroit News reported.

“A violent mob of more than 2,000 Muslims attacked Hindus in eastern India over a Facebook post they deemed objectionable. The post concerned a religious site.

“Twelve people were burned alive by Islamic State (ISIS) jihadis, including a family of four, reported a source who spoke anonymously to the Iraqi television station Alsumaria News.
The source said their hands were tied and they were forced into cages. Oil was then poured on them and they were set on fire.
