“President Trump on Tuesday sternly warned North Korea against making threats to the U.S., responding to reports that Pyongyang has expanded its nuclear capabilities.
“North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States,” Trump told reporters at his New Jersey golf club. “They will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen.” North Korea will be met with ‘fire and fury’ if they threaten U.S.: Trump
His comments came after The Washington Post, citing a U.S. intelligence assessment, reported that North Korea crossed a major threshold in its quest to become a nuclear power by successfully producing a miniaturized nuclear warhead that can fit onto a missile.
If true, the development would cross the Trump administration’s red line on North Korea’s nuclear program.” More here.> Trump: North Korea ‘will be met with fire and fury’ if it threatens US
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — “These days, the price of a San Francisco home can easily top a million dollars. But one savvy investor has bought up a whole street in the city’s most exclusive neighborhood for a mere $90,000.
Trouble is, some of the extremely wealthy residents of Presidio Terrace were not aware their street was up for sale and are not pleased it has been sold.
Presidio Terrace is an oval shaped street sealed off by a gate from the tony Presidio Heights neighborhood. Lined with towering palm trees and multimillion dollar mansions, the street has been home, over the years, to famous residents including Sen. Dianne Feinstein and House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi.” More here.> San Francisco street sells for $90K. Neighbors aren’t happy

“Ron and Mary Tarnowski’s lives were confined almost entirely to their home in Duluth, Minnesota.
Decades ago, at age 42, Mary Tarnowski suffered from a stroke that left her paralyzed on the right side of her body, making it difficult for her to move or speak. Her husband, Ron, served as her caretaker for more than 35 years, assisting her with daily tasks and rarely leaving her side.
But in recent years, Ron Tarnowski, an Air Force veteran and retired captain for the local fire department, began showing signs of early-onset dementia, his son and police told The Washington Post. Suddenly, the tough man with a “commanding presence,” adventurous spirit and the build of a former football player needed to be taken care of, too.
Getting around became even more difficult for the Tarnowskis – Mary, 78, and Ron, 81. The couple hardly ever left the home which their son, Karl Tarnowski, built adjacent to his own so he could keep an eye on them.” More here.> He was his wife’s caretaker for decades but got dementia. “This is the moment a German schoolgirl was found hiding in war-torn Mosul having fled from Germany to join ISIS.
Jihadi bride Linda Wenzel, 16, was filmed by an Iraqi soldier when she was dragged, filthy, dazed and wounded in her arm, from the former terror stronghold.
Footage shows the teenager wincing with pain and screaming as she was led away to a makeshift prison while baying soldiers celebrated her capture.
There are reports that she is being detained for questioning over terrorism offences and could face the death penalty in Iraq for being a member of ISIS.
Wenzel, who converted to Islam as a 15-year-old schoolgirl in her hometown of Pulsnitz in eastern Germany last year, ran away from home to join the fanatics after being groomed online by an ISIS recruiter.
She flew to Istanbul, was smuggled into Iraq, marred a Chechen fighter who was killed and ended up in Mosul where an estimated 25,000 Isis volunteers died in the battle to retake the city.
In the video two men can be seen escorting Wenzel, who seems to wince in pain from a wound. She looks at the ground and cries miserably as she is led away.” More here.> Runaway German schoolgirl, 16, faces execution for joining ISIS as new video reveals the moment she was captured by baying soldiers in Mosul
“Chloe Ayling’s ordeal sounds like a tale spawned by nightmares of the evil that lurks online.
The 20-year-old British model said she was lured to Italy with the promise of a photo shoot, then drugged, stuffed into a suitcase, transported to an isolated farmhouse and held, at times in handcuffs, for almost a week.
Ms Ayling has told police the “terrifying experience” ended when her captor, who had threatened to hold her for ransom or advertise her as sex slave on the dark web, decided instead to drop her off at the British consulate in Milan.” More here.> Chloe Ayling: Polish man arrested after British model’s nightmare kidnapping in Italy

“North Korea reportedly has produced a compact nuclear warhead that can be placed inside one of its advanced missiles – which are already believed to be capable of reaching half of the United States.
The jarring assessment was prepared in July by the Defense Intelligence Agency, according to The Washington Post. The Post was read parts of the DIA analysis and the document was verified by other U.S. officials, the newspaper reported.
“The [intelligence community] assesses North Korea has produced nuclear weapons for ballistic missile delivery, to include delivery by ICBM-class missiles,” an excerpt of the DIA analysis states.
Further, it is now believed that dictator Kim Jong Un may control up to 60 nuclear weapons.” More here.> North Korean nukes are miniaturized, can fit on missiles, report says

“Anthem announced it will back out of Nevada’s ObamaCare market next year, leaving most rural Nevada counties without a single ObamaCare insurer in 2018.
The insurance company also plans to cut its Georgia presence in half, and has already withdrawn from Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin, and much of California.
“This is a significant blow to the state’s individual market,” Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval (R) said in a statement. He added that he is “frustrated and disappointed” by Anthem’s “surprise and abrupt decision to leave the healthcare exchange.”

Commentary / Opinion:
“ObamaCare is the public policy equivalent of the Hindenburg, and the U.S. Senate has now failed to pass even the feeblest effort to repeal it.
President Donald Trump is exactly right. It is time for America to abolish the 60-vote Senate rule that forced the healthcare bill into the once-a-budget-year “reconciliation process” controlled by the “Byrd” rule which does not allow room for broad, lateral negotiation and subject matter inclusion that are so critical to achieving 50 percent plus one in a parliamentary setting. Did you know that ObamaCare could never have been repealed and replaced within the confines of the present Byrd rule? Did anyone but senators?
Alexander Hamilton, in Federalist 22, warned posterity that a supermajority construct in parliamentary settings, except in the rarest of circumstances (i.e. amending the Constitution), would mean that “smaller numbers will overrule the greater…and destroy the energy of government”.
