“You made us very proud,” the judge said of the surly teen’s compliance with a family therapy program.

“Sen. John McCain ran his election in Arizona on repealing ObamaCare, but on Friday he announced his opposition to the latest Republican ObamaCare overhaul bill, which will likely thwart GOP leaders’ attempts to pass the health care reform legislation.
On “Fox & Friends Weekend,” Dan Bongino, former Secret Service agent-turned political pundit, said it’s shocking that the survival of ObamaCare appears to be more dependent on the reelection of McCain than the reelection of Obama.
“Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore argued during Thursday night’s GOP primary runoff debate that “there is no such thing as a Dreamer,” a term commonly used to refer to recipients of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
“There’s no such thing as a ‘Dreamer.’ You know why? It was never passed by Congress,” Moore said during the debate against runoff opponent Sen. Luther Strange (R-Ala.), referring to executive action taken by the Obama administration in 2012.
“DACA is wrong. ‘Dreamer’ is wrong. We need to look at vetting these people coming into our country, and pick people that are going to do something for our economy,” Moore said.” More here.> Roy Moore: ‘There’s no such thing as a Dreamer’
MONTGOMERY, Ala. – “Sarah Palin returned to the campaign trail Thursday night to rally support for Judge Roy Moore in the Alabama Senate race, armed with a pitch heavy on anti-GOP establishment criticism.
“We’re sending Trump someone who has our back — not Mitch McConnell’s,” Palin told a raucous crowd of hundreds.
Sebastian Gorka, who served as a White House adviser until August, joined Palin on stage in Montgomery last night.
“All you need to know is that Luther Strange is endorsed by Mitch McConnell,” Gorka told Fox News in an interview. “He is a creature of the establishment, that’s why we can’t support him.” More here.> Alabama Senate race: Palin and Gorka rip Trump-backed ‘establishment’ pick, rally for Roy Moore

“An American airstrike in Libya killed 17 Islamic State fighters and destroyed three vehicles Friday evening.
U.S. Africa Command said in a statement U.S. forces conducted six precision airstrikes against an ISIS desert camp Friday evening local time. The camp was used to move ISIS fighters in and out of Libya, stockpile weapons and other equipment, and to plot attacks.
“The United States will track and hunt these terrorists, degrade their capabilities and disrupt their planning and operations by all appropriate, lawful, and proportional means, including precision strikes against their forces, terror training camps and lines of communication, as well as partnering with Libyan forces to deny safe havens for terrorists in Libya,” the statement read.” More here.> US kills 17 ISIS militants in Libya airstrike
“Heavy U.S. bombers and fighter jets flew past North Korea Saturday in a warning to the rogue regime.
U.S. Air Force B-1B Lancer bombers out of Anderson Air Force Base in Guam, along with U.S. Air Force F-15C Eagle fighter escorts from Okinawa, Japan, flew over waters east of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.
“This is the farthest north of the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) any U.S. fighter or bomber aircraft have flown off North Korea’s coast in the 21st century, underscoring the seriousness with which we take DPRK’s reckless behavior,” Dana W. White, chief Pentagon spokeswoman, explained in a statement.” More here.> US Bombers Rip Past North Korea To Remind ‘Rocket Man’ Of American Power
“International monitors believe that an earthquake near North Korea’s nuclear test site was not related to the illicit weapons program.
U.S. officials have not released a final conclusion, but South Korean monitors declared that the tremors were part of a natural earthquake. However, it attracted international attention as North Korea’s flurry of nuclear provocations has caused the United Nations to increase economic sanctions and produced several rounds of sabre-rattling between President Trump and dictator Kim Jong-un.” More here.> ‘Natural’ North Korean quake rattles nuclear monitors

Commentary / Opinion:
SEOUL/TOKYO (Reuters) – “Detonating a nuclear-tipped missile over the Pacific Ocean would be a logical final step by North Korea to prove the success of its weapons program but would be extremely provocative and carry huge risks, arms control experts said on Friday.”
(Excerpts from the article), “They may be bluffing, but there is a need for them to test their combined missile-bomb capability. They could have already prepared the plan and are now trying to use Trump’s remarks as an excuse to make it happen,” said Yang.”
“Such an atmospheric test would be the first globally since China detonated a device in 1980, according to the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Tests of nuclear-tipped ballistic missiles are rarer still. The United States’ only test of an operational ballistic missile with a live warhead was fired from submarine far out in the Pacific Ocean in 1962.”
“To put a live nuclear warhead on a missile that’s only been tested a handful of times, overflying potentially populated centers. If it…doesn’t go exactly as planned….it could be a world changing event.” More here.> A North Korea nuclear test over the Pacific? Logical, terrifying
“Today’s young people fear that they will never see Social Security benefits. The reality is, 3% of elderly Americans already don’t.
The three main groups of people who never receive Social Security benefits include infrequent workers (44.3%) who do not have sufficient earnings to qualify for the benefits, immigrants who arrived in the U.S. at 50 or older (37.3%) and therefore haven’t worked long enough to qualify for the benefits, and non-covered workers (11.4%), such as state and local government employees. A little less than 7% of “never beneficiaries” were individuals who were expected to get Social Security benefits, but died before receiving them, according to a 2015 Social Security Administration report.” More here.> These Americans will never get Social Security benefits — and we don’t mean millennials
