Commenter y / Opinion:

The Establishment Cries Wolf

But Americans are growing tired of the scandals, the tabloid headlines, and the GOP pile-on, too familiar, too predictable.

In the fable, The Boy Who Cried Wolf, a boy grows bored tending sheep so he makes up a game, he cries wolf. The villagers grab their “axes, hoes and forks” and run to the boy’s rescue.  But when they get there, they find the boy laughing, no wolf. The kid does it a second time and the villagers fall for it again. Then one day there really is a wolf and the boy cries “WOLF!” But this time the villagers ignore the boy and the wolf devours the sheep.

The Washington establishment and mainstream media will continue to plot and scheme, it’s what they do. But don’t be surprised when the establishment’s frantic warnings don’t bring axes and pitchforks. Like the story, the people are onto the game. Now no one listens when the establishment cries wolf.

Dems Zero In on Trump, Only to Find Their Own Guys in Trouble

“2017 was a bad year for the resistance,” said Eddie Zipperer, an assistant professor of political science at Georgia Military College, in an email to LifeZette. “The NFL tried to embarrass Trump; now their ratings are tanking. Hollywood tried to embarrass Trump; now they’re worrying who the next disgraced actor will be. The Democrats tried to play morally superior — now Democratic Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is on TV explaining why sexual harassment rules don’t apply to icons like John Conyers.”

Keecker, the projector-packing robotic butler, is now available for purchase

Have you ever thought to yourself, “Man, this projector is pretty sweet, but I really wish it had wheels so it could follow me around and play YouTube videos on the empty walls of my apartment”?

Perhaps not, since that’s a fairly ridiculous thing to think to yourself. But somebody else did think that, and he was crazy determined enough to actually follow through on this absurd idea and make it a reality. After teasing the world with an early prototype three years ago, Pierre Labeau’s robotic butler/entertainment system known as Keecker is finally available for purchase.

But it’s more than just an egg-shaped media center. Keecker is also outfitted with a set of wheels, a camera, and special navigation software that allows it to follow you around the house. The idea is that, instead of you getting up and physically moving yourself to wherever your home theater might be, you can use your smartphone to summon Keecker to the spot you happen to be in.
