UPDATE: US issues steep list of demands for nuclear treaty with Iran

A Johnston County middle school teacher has been charged with a felony and a misdemeanor in connection with a fraudulent prescription for a controlled substance.

Drawing sharp contrasts with the 2015 deal, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said a stronger pact should require that Iran stop enrichment of uranium, which was allowed within strict limitations under the previous deal. Iran would also have to walk away from core pillars of its foreign policy, including its involvement in Syria, Yemen, Lebanon and Afghanistan.

Nikki Haley Walked out on Palestinian UN Speech

As you may have heard, Hamas pushed Palestinian protests last week during the dedication of the new US Embassy in Jerusalem. The leader of Hamas stated last week that the protesters that were killed at the Israel border were confirmed Hamas members. At the latest UN meeting, Palestinians demanded an investigation into Israel’s defense of their border. After the demand, Nikki Haley walked out on the Palestinian UN speech after their ridiculous Israel accusations.

Maduro isolated as US vows action over ‘sham’ Venezuela polls

Venezuela faced growing international isolation and a deepening economic crisis Monday following President Nicolas Maduro’s contested re-election as the United States threatened punitive measures against his regime over the “sham” vote.

The stern reaction from Washington further ratcheted up the pressure on the leftist Maduro, after the Lima Group’s 14 members, including regional powers Argentina, Brazil and Canada moved to recall their ambassadors in protest at the opposition-boycotted vote.

China is the greatest, growing threat to America

China has outlined strategies for 2018, 2025 and 2050 all designed to displace the United States as the dominant global economic and national security superpower. Why it matters: While America dawdles and bickers, China is thinking long-term — and acting now, everywhere. There is no U.S. equivalent of a plan for 2025 or 2050 — or really for next year.

INCYMI, China: A greater spy threat than Russia?

In shift from Russia, House committee to begin investigation on the alleged threats posed by China in the military, economy, and technological areas.

Media laments Trump/North Korea summit ‘could have a negative effect on global warming’

WASHINGTON DC — The media’s obsession with “global warming” has now reached a new level of absurdity as concerns are now being raised that a President Donald Trump summit with North Korea “could have a negative effect on global warming.” And the media is even portraying North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un as more forward-thinking than Trump because Kim is “more in line with global thinking” on “climate change” and supports the UN Paris climate agreement.

Ramadan Rage: Jihadists Kill 41, Injure 102 in First 4 Days

The various calls for jihadist groups to halt their campaign of terror has fallen on deaf ears, particularly in Afghanistan, home to the majority of attacks.

So far this Ramadan, the deadliest attack took place on Friday in Afghanistan, when the Taliban carried out an attack in Ghani province, killing nine and wounding seven.

Officer gets standing ovation at graduation for stopping school shooting

A school resource officer was honored at an Illinois high school graduation for his heroic actions after he stopped a school shooter from taking any lives.

Officer Mark Dallas received a standing ovation Sunday as he led Dixon High School students into their graduation ceremony. Matthew Milby, 19, brought a gun into the school and shot at a coach during graduation practice, but Dallas was able to take the shooter down as students ran for their lives, police said.

NEW YORK — Mario Batali, one of the most famous chefs in the world, was accused of a string of disturbing crimes by a woman who used to work for him — crimes including drugging and sexually assaulting her inside a New York City restaurant, in a third-floor space notoriously known by employees as the “rape room.” Fox News reports.

ORLANDO, Fla.  — A deaf woman who is 5 months pregnant says a man punched her in the stomach and hit her service dog during a confrontation on an airplane as it arrived at a Florida airport.

Hazel Ramirez says she and her partner, Matthew Silvay, were confronted Thursday by Timothy Manley, who objected to their service dog, Zariel, a Great Dane.

Greensboro, NC fire that killed 5 children exposes more concerns with US refugee program

In a tense community meeting last week, the blame for the children’s deaths was placed on the city and on the landlord, all assuming the fire was from landlord and city inspector neglect.

Here are a few snips from the story on that meeting from the local News & Record:

Starbucks: You don’t need to buy anything to hang out in our stores

(CNN Money) — Starbucks stores are now open to all — no purchase necessary.

The company informed US employees on Friday that people can gather in their cafes and patios even if they don’t buy drinks, and that store bathrooms are available to everyone.

Unnecessary and accidental use of ADHD drugs increases over 60%, study suggests

(CNN) — Exposure to common medications used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder has increased by more than 60% in US children and adolescents, according to a new study.

The new research comes one day after Oliver North, the National Rifle Association incoming president, suggested on “Fox News Sunday” that the drug Ritalin — which is commonly used to treat ADHD — is partially responsible for the recent increase in gun violence in the US.

Tesla driver found dead in car submerged in pond

A California man was killed sometime this past weekend when he drove his Tesla Model S of a road and into a pond in Castro Valley.

After a three-hour search, a dive team found Leung’s body still upright in the submerged sedan as they took precautions to deal safely with the electric car. A thick stand of trees around the pond made it difficult to remove the vehicle from the water.

Tesla Model S

Police identified the driver as Keith Leung, 34, whose family said had gone missing on Saturday, according to KTVU.

It is not known if the vehicle’s Autopilot feature was engaged at the time of the accident, but police said that the stretch of Crow Canyon Road where the accident occurred is a problem area for speeders.

Bank of Un-American Activities

BoA is focused on the weapon of choice of the criminal rather than the facts. The most recent FBI data shows that knives, clubs, fists and feet account for 75.8% of all the weapons used during “aggravated assaults.” The BoA and VP Finucane don’t have their facts straight, nor are they focused on actually reducing crime in communities. Disarming law abiding citizens in “the communities throughout the United States” they serve is a disservice.

Smug Seattle to mom and pop landlords: Criminals are welcome! Your rights not so much

First-in-time, the only ordinance of its kind in the country, required landlords to offer tenancy to the first applicant who meets rental criteria—credit history and such. We defeated that law in court in April. The Fair Chance Housing Ordinance, on the other hand, forbids landlords from checking criminal background or considering prior criminal convictions when selecting tenants.

Each of these laws by itself curtails landlords’ rights to their own property and raises serious safety and financial risks. But in tandem, the two rules make the risks of renting out property utterly intolerable for the average mom-and-pop landlord.

Is the City of Seattle going to ruin their economy with the new head tax?

Last week the Seattle City Council approved a new head tax on big businesses. The tax is an amount businesses pay per employee ($275 per year), with a sunset clause of 2023 (don’t hold your breath that this tax will actually cease to exist at that time). The head tax was approved by a unanimous vote.

Deep State/Government Corruption:

IG report on Clinton case expected to hit FBI leaders for sitting on emails in 2016

A highly anticipated report from the Justice Department’s internal watchdog reportedly is expected to hit FBI leaders for moving too slowly to review a batch of Hillary Clinton emails discovered toward the end of the 2016 presidential campaign.

Offering a glimpse at the contents of the closely held inspector general review, The Associated Press cited people familiar with the findings in reporting Monday that the investigation would criticize the bureau for its handling of that incident.

Stopping Robert Mueller to protect us all

The “deep state” is in a deep state of desperation. With little time left before the Justice Department inspector general’s report becomes public, and with special counsel Robert Mueller having failed to bring down Donald Trump after a year of trying, they know a reckoning is coming.

Trump turns up heat on Obama, Brennan amid ‘informant’ questions

President Trump sought to turn the tables on the Obama administration Monday after demanding a probe into whether his predecessor’s FBI “infiltrated” his 2016 campaign, pointedly asking what then-President Barack Obama knew about the operation – while clashing with former CIA boss John Brennan.

“Collusion against Trump” timeline

It’s easy to find timelines that detail Trump-Russia collusion developments. Here are links to two of them I recommend:

On the other side, evidence has emerged in the past year that makes it clear there were organized efforts to collude against candidate Donald Trump–and then President Trump. For example:

Turley: Trump’s Allegations About Campaign Surveillance ‘Validated to a Large Extent’

Jonathan Turley said President Donald Trump has largely been vindicated for his allegations that the FBI used a counterintelligence operation to target his presidential campaign.

Devin Nunes: No More Meetings With “Leaky” DOJ Until They “Show Us The Documents”

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes said he ignored an invitation by the Justice Department to continue talks about documents regarding the Russia investigation that his committee has demanded, because he is sure someone at the agency was leaking.

“We’re not going to go to another meeting where we don’t get documents, and then the meeting leaks out,” Nunes said during an interview on Fox News Channel’s “Sunday Morning Futures” with Maria Bartiromo.

Dan Bongino: Brennan has disgraced the country

Former Secret Service agent says John Brennan is responsible for Americans’ loss of faith in the intelligence community.

Tech Watch:

Google reluctantly back in spotlight

Google has been trying its best to stay out of the spotlight and let Facebook take the punches. However, the drumbeat of people pointing at Google has been growing louder, with critics ready to pounce on any new stumble.

The search company (which has more dirt on everyone than Facebook) has largely managed to escape the techlash spotlight due to a mix of smarts and luck. But that seems to be changing.

“60 Minutes” takes aim at Google’s search “monopoly”

U.S. authorities have let Google build a monopoly in internet search that some critics believe is illegal, CBS News’ “60 Minutes” reported Sunday night.

Why it matters: A lot of tech insiders joked over the past couple of months that Google was relieved to hand its “domineering tech behemoth” crown to Facebook after the Cambridge Analytica scandal. That reprieve for the search giant may be ending now.

EU charges Google with ‘illegal’ behavior

Is Google a monopoly that’s gotten too big and powerful and needs regulation? The company, quite naturally, says no — but some regulators, attorneys, and other tech companies beg to differ.

In a CBS 60 Minutes report, Margrethe Vestager, the competition commissioner for the European Union (EU), says her office can prove that Google is engaging in illegal, anti-competitive behavior. Google denied the charge but declined CBS’s request for an interview.

“Our responsibility is to deliver the best results possible to our users, not specific placements for sites within our results,” Google said in a statement released to the media. “We understand that those sites whose ranking falls will be unhappy and may complain publicly.”

Part of Vestager’s claim hinges on research her team conducted. The researchers looked at 1.7 billion Google search queries and charges the results show Google was manipulating its secret search formulas—or algorithms—to promote its own products and services, while virtually ignoring any competitor.

The left turns up the heat to break up Facebook

A collection of progressive groups will launch a six figure digital ad offensive Monday telling the Federal Trade Commission to break up Facebook’s social networking empire.

The big picture: Facebook’s new reality is being a political punching bag for those on the left, who want it broken up, and the right, who accuse it of systemic bias.

Facebook and Qualcomm partner to deliver high-speed WiFi to cities

Facebook and Qualcomm are teaming up to bring super-fast WiFi to cities across the country for “a fraction of the cost” of fiber, the companies announced Monday

The partnership will use Facebook’s Terragraph technology to build a multi-node wireless system based on 60GHz technology from Qualcomm, with the ultimate goal of bringing high-speed internet connectivity to dense urban areas.

The social media giant has been working on Terragraph for several years in an effort to replace fiber broadband with 60GHz millimeter-wave wireless. Facebook first unveiled Terragraph at its annual developer conference back in 2016, touting it as a wireless service that could deliver faster and more reliable coverage in dense urban areas.

How Obama became the first communist president

Excerpts from the article.

The use of the state to spy on and infiltrate the campaign of a political opponent is the final proof of the truth that we have averted our eyes from for the last 14 years.

Barack Obama is a communist. Mild compared to Castro or Mao, but nevertheless a believer in state control of everything.

Donald Trump poses a threat to all that power. When they say he is destroying democratic institutions, what they mean is he is taking back control of those institutions from the Deep State communists. His is a battle for the soul of America.

Tammy Bruce: Lincoln vs. Obama — The incredible tale of two libraries

This is a story of priorities and hypocrisy, brought to us by a president who saved the Union and was murdered for it, and a president whose policies and malevolence damaged both the nation and the world, and who is being rewarded for it.

What Obama and his political Choom Gang did is far worse than Watergate

The Obama administration — with or without the knowledge and direction of President Obama himself — perverted one of the most powerful, clandestine spying operations in the world and used it at the very height of a presidential campaign to spy on political opponents, punish them and, ultimately, silence them through extortion.

If this was orchestrated without the express knowledge of Mr. Obama, then it reveals just how blatantly he instructed by example the weaponizing of the entire federal government to carry out his low, dishonest and unjust ideology. By any means necessary, one might say. Only instead of being driving by visions of justice, these people were driven by visions of undying power.

If this conspiracy was carried out at the express direction of Mr. Obama or other high officials in his administration, then they belong in jail. From unmasking of political opponents, to leaking their names to the press, to killing legitimate investigations, to launching politically motivated witch hunts, a racket of this scale could not have been carried out without some major juice and cover at the top levels of the Department of Justice, FBI and the White House.
