From KESQ: Border Patrol agents arrest two convicted sex offenders in Calexico suspected of making an illegal entry into the United States on two separate occasions this week.
An MS-13 member who goes by the gang name “Animal” received a 40-year prison sentence this week for a conspiracy that included the murder of a 15-year-old boy, the U.S. attorney’s office in Massachusetts said Tuesday.
The nickname, which the prosecutors highlighted in the headline of a press release, is particularly telling, coming just a week after President Trump called members of the violent, immigrant-fueled MS-13 gang “animals.”
Joel Martinez, 23, admitted he murdered the 15-year-old as part of his initiation as a “homeboy” in Mara Salvatrucha, the gang’s full name.
“I stabbed the culero three times,” Mr. Martinez said, according to prosecutors. “He stared at me and he asked me if I was going to, if I was going to stab him. I told him, ‘Yes, the Mara rules you.’”
The crash happened around 11:30 p.m. Monday, May 21 following a pursuit on I-77 southbound near NC-67, FOX 8 reports. The chase had began with a license check.
During the chase, one trooper noticed he did not see a second patrol car behind him. When his attempt at contacting the other trooper failed, he turned around and found the patrol car engulfed in flames.
An intense manhunt involving aircraft and trained dogs came to an end Tuesday after a female officer was killed in a Baltimore suburb and four teenage suspects who were involved in burglaries in the area were arrested in connection with the slaying, officials said.
The nearly four-year veteran of the force, identified by authorities as Amy Caprio, was responding to a suspicious vehicle call Monday in the community of Perry Hall when Baltimore County Police Cpl. Shawn Vinson said she encountered suspects and was “critically injured.”
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday there was a “substantial chance” his summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un will not take place as planned on June 12 amid concerns that Kim is not committed to denuclearization.
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The share of Americans who report they are doing “at least okay” financially rose in President Donald Trump’s first year in office, according to Federal Reserve data published on Tuesday.
I will always stand by our allies, stand up for our law enforcement, and stand with the American people.

At the other end of the spectrum, New Mexico ranks last, scoring the worst in the Index’s family self-sufficiency, family structure, and family culture categories.
“Family Guy” creator Seth MacFarlane gave $2 million to a Democratic super PAC aiming to flip the Senate in the midterm elections this November, Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings show.
MacFarlane gave $2 million to Senate Majority PAC on April 2, the PAC reported in its monthly FEC filing submitted on Sunday. MacFarlane’s donation made up a little under one-quarter of the PAC’s $8.7 million haul in April, FEC filings show.
“In 2015 they passed under 18, illegal immigrants that they can get the coverage. They say it was only going to cost only $182 million. It ended up costing $280 million. Almost double that,” Steel added. “So when they say it it’s $3 billion you don’t know how much it’s going to cost. We’re talking about 1.2 million people. You know what? They are really pushing it way too far.”
Steel said if California keeps providing financial benefits to illegal immigrants, the state will attract millions more, who will overwhelm the system and send the state spiraling into bankruptcy.
“You know you are getting welfare benefits. You have free health care coverage. And then you can hide, because the government itself is protecting these people even if they commit crime,” she concluded. “It’s going to be a utopia for illegal immigrants. They’re all going to come in from outside of the world, not just inside of United States but how about the other side of the world? They all want to come in. Everything is free here.”

Reuters’ ballot poll, which is administered every few days in 2018 up until the midterms, asked respondents which party’s candidate they would vote for if the elections were held on said day.
After the shabby treatment the University of Minnesota doled out to Daily Wire Editor-in-Chief Ben Shapiro in February, relegating him to speaking off-campus rather than on the main campus despite the fact that they had easily found space on campus for arch-leftist Senator Elizabeth Warren and home state leftist Senator Al Franken, a major donor to the university has pulled their funding and shifted to partnering with Young Americans for Freedom — the chapter affiliate of Young America’s Foundation, which had sponsored Shapiro’s speech.
“Hamas supporters in Gaza held the world’s first peaceful protest with hand grenades, pipe bombs, cleavers and guns. Ten explosive devices were peacefully detonated. There were outbursts of peaceful gunfire and over a dozen kites carrying firebombs were sent into Israel where they started 23 peaceful fires. And Israeli soldiers peacefully defended their country leaving multiple Hamas attackers at peace,” Greenfield wrote.
Students at a selective New York City public school participated in a moment of silence for the Palestinian victims of violence on the Gazan border with Israel, angering some parents.
The moment of silence was held a week ago at the Beacon School located in the Hell’s Kitchen area of Manhattan. The school “tends to lean left,” the New York Post reported over the weekend.
Some Jewish parents told the Post that they were unhappy that the school got involved in the Israel-Palestinian conflict.
“I am extremely upset because I did not send my child to a New York City public school to pray for Hamas operatives,” one father told the newspaper.

Amazon has been selling a facial-recognition system to police, sparking fears that the technology will one day power mass surveillance.
On Tuesday, the American Civil Liberties Union and 35 other advocacy group sent a letterto the company’s CEO Jeff Bezos, demanding that he stop providing the technology to law enforcement.
The technology, called Amazon Rekognition, can identify people’s faces in digital images and video. Police in Oregon and Florida have been using the system to help them solve crimes, but the ACLU argues that it’s ripe for abuse.
BOSTON (Reuters) – Facebook Inc named a new director this month and timed his appointment to avoid a shareholder vote, raising concern among some investors who want to see more accountability from the social media company.
Jeffrey Zients’ appointment does not take effect until “immediately following the conclusion” of the company’s May 31 shareholder meeting, according to a securities filing on May 8, meaning he could be able to serve a year without facing shareholder approval.

Deep State/Government Corruption:
Less than a week after Stefan Halper was outed as the FBI informant who infiltrated the Trump campaign, public records reveal that the 73-year-old Oxford University professor and former U.S. government official was paid handsomely by the Obama administration starting in 2012 for various research projects.
A longtime CIA and FBI asset who once reportedly ran a spy-operation on the Jimmy Carter administration, Halper was enlisted by the FBI to spy on several Trump campaign aides during the 2016 U.S. election. Meanwhile, a search of public records reveals that between 2012 and 2018, Halper received a total of $1,058,161 from the Department of Defense.
Revelations that an FBI informant was in contact with members of the Trump campaign during the 2016 presidential election have opened the door to a cascade of new details about those communications, emboldening Republican demands for a full accounting of how the Russia investigation began.
The latest detail emerged when former Trump campaign adviser Michael Caputo revealed to Fox News there might be at least two informants — saying he, too, was approached.
“Let me tell you something that I know for a fact,” Caputo said on “The Ingraham Angle.” “This informant, this person that they tried to plant into the campaign … he’s not the only person who came to the campaign. And the FBI is not the only Obama agency who came at the campaign.”
In the year since the start of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation, one thing has been notably absent: a public indictment of any Russians for the hacking of the Democratic National Committee (DNC).
Russia’s alleged involvement in the hacking first came to public attention nearly two years ago, when CrowdStrike, a cybersecurity firm hired by the DNC, identified two separate Russian-affiliated breaches of the DNC networks in 2015 and 2016.
Soon after, DCLeaks.com, WikiLeaks and hacker persona Guccifer 2.0 began releasing emails pilfered from DNC servers.
Ever since she lost the 2016 election, Hillary Clinton has repeatedly blamed her defeat on the FBI’s decision to reopen the probe into her email use after messages were found on the laptop of confidante Huma Abedin’s estranged husband.
But now that laptop and those emails are back in the spotlight, this time causing problems for FBI leaders as part of a forthcoming inspector general report. The probe is expected to fault bureau officials for sitting on those emails in the first place.
The finding underscores how the laptop continues to play a recurring part in the Clinton case saga, haunting everyone from the Democratic nominee to the FBI officials who examined it.
No rational person can honestly believe our media held on to the hoax-dossier out of some sense of journalistic responsibility. Are you kidding me? I promise you — PROMISE YOU — that the moment Trump won the presidency, straight through to this very moment, straight through to end of their miserable, bitter, corrupt lives, the media deeply regret not releasing the hoax-dossier prior to Election Day. And they should regret it. My guess is, had they, things were close enough it would have tipped the scales to Hillary.
So why, then, did the media hold on to the hoax-dossier? Three reasons, the first being the most important: 1) The media were absolutely certain it was not necessary, that Hillary would defeat Trump — the dossier was merely the “insurance policy”. 2) Why give Trump fodder for his “rigged election” narrative? 3) The media (and Hillary) were salivating at the thought of using the hoax-dossier after the election against a utterly helpless Citizen Trump.
We’re still two years away from real heat of the 2020 presidential campaign, but it might be time for the mainstream media to start filing in-kind contributions to the Trump 2020 reelection campaign.
Over the last 18 months, many in the media have abandoned any appearance of objectivity and balance in favor of an all-out attempt to further the political agenda of the left — namely the impeachment of Donald Trump.
With every aggravating month that Trump stays firmly ensconced in the White House, it’s clear that Trump is the mainstream media’s Moby Dick and that they’re Captain Ahab in their deranged pursuit of the great white whale. However, they should be reminded that it didn’t end so well for Captain Ahab.
CARACAS (Reuters) – Betsabeth Casique saved for eight months for bus tickets out of Venezuela for herself and her three children. At 1.4 million bolivars each, they are worth what she earns in a month working as a nurse.
President Nicolas Maduro on Tuesday said he was expelling the top U.S. diplomat in Venezuela and his deputy for allegedly conspiring against his government and trying to sabotage the country’s recent presidential election.
“The empire doesn’t dominate us here,” Maduro said in a televised address, giving charge d’affaires Todd Robinson and his deputy Brian Naranjo 48 hours to leave the country. “We’ve had enough of your conspiring.”
JERUSALEM (JTA) — A group of Gazan Palestinians cut through the border fence with Israel and set fire to an empty Israel Defense Forces outpost.
The Palestinians, 10 in all, fled back through the fence into Gaza after the Tuesday morning attack on the outpost used by snipers during the March of Return border protests.
The IDF said that it had monitored the group since it began its approach to the fence.
