“It is unknown if drugs and/or alcohol were involved,” police said, adding that the manner and cause of death will be determined by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner.

But in an initial coroner’s report obtained by FOX11, the mother admitted to police she left the child alone in the car at about 11 p.m. on Sept. 21 before getting into another vehicle to drink alcohol with a friend. She told authorities she then fell asleep.

The woman told police she had put the 2-year-old in her car seat with a blanket on her, the windows rolled up, and the heat on for about four to five hours, according to the report obtained by FOX11.

Wounded Veteran Sings ‘God Bless America’ with Donald Trump

Avila sang the song with the military choir as Trump and other officials joined him.

Avila was severely wounded by an improvised explosive device in 2011 in Afghanistan, losing his leg, and had two strokes and two heart attacks that left him nearly paralyzed.

After 40 days in a coma, Avila woke up and responded well to music therapy, prompting his continued appreciation of music.

Avlia’s story was recently featured by the Gary Sinise Foundation, which installed a “smart home” to help him with day-to-day challenges at home.

Florida man kills wife of 33 years after he bought her a new Mercedes and she complained it wasn’t red

Eddie Harris had been married to his wife Shanica Harris for 33 years, and had five children together. Police received a 911 call around 9 pm on Saturday September 28th of a report of shots being fired inside the Liberty City home owned by the Harris’s.

When police arrived on scene they were met by two men who had fled the home, who told officers that Eddie had shot his wife, and that their two grandchildren, ages 6 and 9, were still inside the residence. They also informed officers that Eddie had a rifle.

When officers were able to gain entry to the home, they found Shanica dead on arrival, and Eddie still alive on the floor suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Eddie was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Police: Girl lied that white classmates pinned her down and cut her dreadlocks

The girl, who is African American, said the six-grade attackers were white. She claimed they called her hair “ugly” then assaulted her at Immanuel Christian School.

After the now-debunked incident, the media attacked the private Christian school, where Vice President Mike Pence’s wife works.

The New York Times said:

Portable toilet explodes with woman inside, killing her instantly

Police say she was killed around 7 a.m. Saturday when the portable toilet she was in exploded. The force of it was so great that the woman’s body was “unrecognizable”.

St. Johns Sheriff’s Office spokesman Chuck Mulligan said that they haven’t gotten any missing person reports in the area.

They’re trying to get to the bottom of what caused the explosion.

They said it could have been caused by anything from suicide or a medical use to drug use or someone smoking inside, lighting the methane gas.

In another story of the “unexplainable” that we reported this month… police in Monroe County, Michigan are still trying to figure out what woman was thinking.

She didn’t have any money and her boyfriend was her only means of financial stability. So when he died, police say she stashed his body inside their apartment and continued to use his credit card.

She livestreamed her DUI crash that killed her sister, and California just let her out of prison.

Her prison sentence was six years and four months. And just over two years into it, she was let out. According to local media outlets, Sanchez was released Sept. 21 after receiving credit for good behavior.

In California, state law let Sanchez earn credits toward her sentence for good conduct and rehabilitative and educational achievements.

Dodson said she was also approved for the state’s Custody to Community Transitional Reentry Program, something she entered into Nov. 8, 2018.

The idea behind the program is to let serious and violent crime offenders serve their sentence in the community. It offers services aimed at re-entering the community, treatment for substance use disorders, relationships, employment and education, Dodson said.

Judge dismisses high-tax states’ lawsuit against Trump tax deduction limits

New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Maryland brought the suit in July 2018, claiming the tax deduction limit was a way for the Trump administration to stick it to blue states.

The judge ruled that the limit did not violate the 10th Amendment, which says that powers not delegated to the federal government in the Constitution are left to the states.

“The cap, again like every other feature of the federal Tax Code, is a part of the landscape of federal law within which states make their decisions as to how they will exercise their own sovereign tax powers,” Oetken wrote.

Chicago police instructs officers to not cooperate with DHS, memo shows: ‘Sickening what’s happening’

Instead of assisting DHS upon request, officers are instructed to wait for their supervisor to arrive, the memo said.

Once the supervisor arrives, “if the request is to assist with an immigration arrest or detention, CPD personnel will leave the scene as directed by the CPD supervisor,” according to the memo.

“See what happens when that happens and a DHS agent is injured because of a lack of response by CPD. Sickening what’s happening here,” a ranking CPD source told Fox News.

It’s unclear how many people have committed suicide at the Grand Canyon, but park spokesperson Vanessa Ceja-Cervantes said about 12 people die at the canyon each year.

Report: 2 out of 3 Child Porn Reports Related to Facebook Messenger

Microsoft’s Bing search engine reportedly regularly submitted reports that lacked essential information which made police investigations almost impossible, while Snapchat is reportedly often uncooperative simply telling investigators that the firm has no further information when questioned about content on its platform.

A Microsoft spokesperson told the Times that the firm has limited information relating to offenders using its search engine to search for child pornography, while Snapchat’s parent company Snap stated that it preserves data in compliance with the law.

The Times focuses on Facebook’s encryption plans for Messenger and other services, which could make the existing problem worse:

In a letter to Barr released on Monday, Johnson (R-Wis.) and Grassley (R-Iowa) pressed the Justice Department to probe any connection between Clinton and Ukrainian operatives.

They said they have “concerns about foreign assistance in the 2016 election that have not been thoroughly addressed.”

“The Justice Department has yet to inform Congress and the public whether it has begun an investigation into links and coordination between the Ukrainian government and individuals associated with the campaign of Hillary Clinton or the Democratic National Committee.

Ukrainian efforts, abetted by a U.S. political party, to interfere in the 2016 election should not be ignored,” the two senators wrote in a letter dated Sept. 27.

“Are you investigating links and coordination between the Ukrainian government and individuals associated with the campaign of Hillary Clinton or the Democratic National Committee? If not, why not?”

‘Squad’ members Ocasio-Cortez, Pressley team up to push for Hyde Amendment repeal

Hyde, which bans any federal money from paying for abortion except in cases of rape and incest, was introduced in 1976 by Illinois Rep. Henry Hyde.

Democrats and Republicans have voted to keep the amendment in effect through the years, notably this June when the House passed a spending bill to which a Hyde Amendment reauthorization was attached.

Some Democrats and most Republicans disagree with Lee, Pressley and Ocasio-Cortez.

“I may be doing things behind the scenes right now,” Ventura said, winking to host Elex Michaelson. “You gotta wait for it to get down to two, then you come in if you’re going to come in.”

“I have that voice in the back of my head that says to me, ‘If not me, then who?'” he added.

He advocated for voters to elect an Independence Party candidate, lest the country grow even more polarized.

Appearing Monday on CNBC’s Squawk Alley, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said he is constitutionally bound to take up an impeachment trial in the Senate if the House passes articles to remove President Donald Trump.

“I am running because it’s time for average Americans who have no desire to be politicians to stand up and change our country’s path before it’s too late,” Feucht, pronounced “FOYT,” told Fox News.

“I am running for the unborn, the unheard, the forgotten and millions of unengaged hardworking Americans who have lost hope in politics.”

He added: “I’m running to restore common sense to government. All Americans deserve a government that empowers the individual and restores decision-making to the states and local communities, where people are best equipped to fix the nation’s problems.”

Collins’ resignation came just hours after it was reported that there will be a “change of plea hearing” when he appears in a Manhattan courtroom on Tuesday.

That appears to indicate that Collins, his son, Cameron, and his son’s prospective father-in-law, Stephen Zarsky, will plead guilty.

According to the original indictment, Collins specifically got early word that a drug the company had developed for the treatment of multiple sclerosis wasn’t performing well in a medical trial and passed the tip to his son.

Prosecutors said the three avoided more than $768,000 in losses by trading ahead of the public announcement of the failed drug trials.

The advocacy group Public Citizen filed a request for an investigation of Collins’ stock dealings with the Office of Congressional Ethics and the Securities and Exchange Commission in January 2017.

GOP lawmaker digs up audio of Schiff telling prank callers he would accept Trump dirt from Ukraine

In the clip, Schiff, D-Calif., tells the Russian shock-jocks, who were posing as Andriy Parubiy, the former speaker of Ukraine’s parliament, that he would be willing to accept dirt on Trump from the Ukranian.

“So, you have recordings of both [Russian journalist Ksenia] Sobchak and [Russian model and singer Olga] Buzova where they’re discussing the compromising material on Mr. Trump?” Schiff asked the callers posing as Parubiy.

“Absolutely,” one of the pranksters responded.

“Well obviously we would welcome a chance to get copies of those recordings,” Schiff said later in the call after he and the fake “Parubiy” go on to discuss more details of the bogus allegations.

The Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets imposed the sanctions on seven Russian individuals involved with the Internet Research Agency’s attempted 2018 U.S. elections breach.

There was no indication the attempt was successful in compromising election infrastructure, preventing voting or changing vote counts.

The Internet Research Agency spread false information on social media in an “attempt to influence the 2018 U.S. midterm elections and try to undermine faith in U.S. democratic institutions,” the Treasury said in a statement.

Sanctions also target assets of Yevgeniy Prigozhin, Internet Research Agency financier, including his three private jets and yacht, and some entities he used as front companies to manage assets.

Reports: China’s Nuclear Missile Can Reach U.S. in 30 Minutes

AP Photo/Andy Wong

Tuesday’s parade will include 15,000 troops, more than 160 aircraft and 580 pieces of military equipment, according to Ministry of Defense spokesman Maj. Gen. Cai Zhijun.

Many new weapons “will be shown for the first time,” Cai told reporters last week. Asked whether that would include the Dongfeng 41, Cai said, “Please wait and see.”

The ability to project power has been seen as increasingly urgent for Chinese leaders aiming to control shipping lanes and waters also claimed by Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, the Philippines and other governments.

“China has developed nuclear, space, cyberspace and other capabilities that can reach potential adversaries across the globe,” the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency said in a report this past January.

The PLA is evidently working to double its nuclear-capable ICBM launch capability, judging from satellite surveillance photos.

This would provide China with a more credible superpower nuclear deterrent, although it would still lag far behind the United States and Russia in launchers and deliverable nuclear warheads

Special Report: China quietly doubles troop levels in Hong Kong, envoys say

Three of the envoys said the contingent of Chinese military personnel in Hong Kong had more than doubled in size since the protests began.

They estimated the number of military personnel is now between 10,000 and 12,000, up from 3,000 to 5,000 in the months before the reinforcement.

As a result, the envoys believe, China has now assembled its largest-ever active force of People’s Liberation Army (PLA) troops and other anti-riot personnel and equipment in Hong Kong.

Significantly, five of the diplomats say, the build-up includes elements of the People’s Armed Police (PAP), a mainland paramilitary anti-riot and internal security force under a separate command from the PLA.

Gen. Hossein Salami’s comments, delivered before an audience of IRGC leaders, were carried by multiple news outlets, including the state-funded IRNA agency.

“This sinister regime must be wiped off the map and this is no longer … a dream (but) it is an achievable goal,” Salami said.

He added that the country has “managed to obtain the capacity to destroy the imposter Zionist regime,” four decades after the Iranian Revolution.

“The second step of the revolution is the step that rearranges the constellation of power in favor of the revolution.

Iran’s Islamic evolution will be on top of this constellation,” Salami said, adding, “In the second step, we will be thinking of the global mobilization of Islam.”

Tammy Bruce calls out President Obama, Al Gore, Ocasio-Cortez for being climate change hypocrites

“We all need to work on the climate, and we take that seriously,” Bruce said. “But don’t say that this is an existential threat, where all of us have to stop eating red meat, not fly, not use fossil fuels, and then go to a steak fry.”

Bruce, who was referencing a recent Democratic Party event in Iowa in which some 10,000 steaks were grilled and served, also said that the Obamas used a separate airplane a couple of times to fly their dog.

“The messaging is that their lives are more important, right? That our lives can be adjusted. That their work matters, our work doesn’t. That’s what we take issue with,” she said.
