A former UCLA lecturer who threatened to carry out a mass shooting at the school was arrested in Colorado on Tuesday morning where he had also made threats against a different campus in an ‘alarmingly’ violent 800-page manifesto.
Matthew Harris, 31, was taken into custody near the University of Colorado Boulder campus on Tuesday by SWAT teams.
On Sunday, he posted 300 unhinged and threatening videos on YouTube, and then he sent emails to UCLA staff threatening a mass shooting. He included details of the manifesto, which also had references to Boulder in it.
UCLA banned in-person classes and told the authorities about the Boulder references. Harris had worked at UCLA until last year but was put on leave after complaints from students that he had sent some of them pornography.

The program – dubbed the Basic Income Guaranteed: Los Angeles Economic Assistance Pilot (BIG LEAP) – launched in October and is offering unconditional, monthly payments to about 3,000 households that supplement the existing welfare programs. There are no restrictions on how the money can be spent.
In order to qualify, applicants are required to live in the City of Los Angeles, be at least 18 years old, have an income at or below the federal poverty level, have at least one dependent minor or be pregnant and have experienced financial or medical hardships due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Los Angeles City Council members allocated nearly $40 million to the program, which South LA Councilman Curren Price – who spearheaded the program – described as “a life-changing initiative.” Funding for the program comes from taxpayers as well as budget cuts to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The U.S. Navy is violating a court order by allegedly blocking treatment for a traumatic brain injury and inflicting other forms of punishment on SEALs who requested religious exemptions to the coronavirus vaccine, according to a new legal complaint.
One of those included a service member, identified as “Navy SEAL 26,” who requested permission to travel to a program for traumatic brain injuries. According to the complaint, “multiple high-ranking Naval officers in SEAL 26’s command began calling the treatment center and asking if it would deny treatment to someone who is unvaccinated.”
It added that the treatment center wouldn’t comply but “the result is that the Navy ran out the clock on SEAL 26’s request again: the treatment center had to give his spot to another patient because SEAL 26 had not been given approval to attend.”
Attorneys argued that holding the Navy in contempt was “the only way to prevent continued irreparable injury” to the SEALs.
However, mask requirements in places such as schools and childcare facilities will “remain in place for the time being,” Hancock also said.
“We simply feel it’s important to keep our schools open and our children in class. Being in that classroom is critical to their development, so we want to make sure they are able to do so as safely as possible,” he continued.
Organizations in the Denver area also may decide to keep the mask or proof of vaccine requirements in place after the public health order expires and are “well within their rights to do so,” Hancock said.
In addition to schools and childcare facilities, masks will remain required on public transportation and at Denver International Airport.
The GoFundMe had been frozen until organizers offered a detailed plan regarding how funds would be spent

By comparison, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s reigning Liberal Party of Canada raked in $3.7 million during the last quarter of 2021, according to public records with Elections Canada. The opposing Conservative Party of Canada collected a little more than $3 million during the same period.
Among the other parties represented in the Canadian House of Commons, the New Democratic Party raised $1.8 million, the Green Party of Canada raised about $800,000, and Bloc Québécois raised a little more than $150,000.
The hearing will feature several members of the Freedom Caucus, including the new caucus chairman, Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA), as well as key border officials, including the U.S. Border Patrol union president, Brandon Judd.
Poor American progressives. When they voted for Joe Biden they thought they would get a civil, courteous, skillful president.
Instead they got a nasty, thin-skinned, incompetent “get off my lawn” president.
Now, one year in, the thin veneer of competency is gone for all to see. Don’t say Mark didn’t warn you.
So much ignorance about inflation!

“Judge Jackson’s record of reversals by the left-leaning D.C. Circuit is troubling for anyone concerned about the rule of law,” Judicial Crisis Network president Carrie Severino told Fox News Digital on Tuesday.
“For example, in Make the Road New York v. Wolf, a D.C. Circuit panel composed of a majority of Democratic nominees concluded that Jackson had set aside a Trump administration rule where there was no legal basis to do so.”
“Cases like these suggest that Jackson might be willing in politically charged cases to ignore the law to deliver a particular policy outcome, and that’s not what we want to see from a Supreme Court justice,” she continued.
During Jackson’s 2021 confirmation for her current position, conservatives pointed to her track record of overturned rulings.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer suggests the only way to prevent the sale of illegal firearms and crimes committed with them is through federal intervention. One America’s Chloe Hauxwell has more.
Nuland currently serves as Biden’s undersecretary of state.
But perhaps the most disturbing aspect of this new development is that these memos were not provided to Trump’s impeachment defense team.
“We did not receive this. We should have received it. President Trump’s defense attorneys also should have received it,” Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) told Just The News.
“This just underscores how congressional oversight has really diminished over the years mainly because we don’t have enforcement powers,” Johnson added. “Administration officials realize this, bureaucrats realize this, so they just thumbed their nose at congressional investigators that they run off the clock.”
While it’s unlikely the revelation of this information would have altered the outcome of the impeachment vote, as Democrats intended to impeach Trump before he even took office, it is clear that Biden’s effort to get Shokin fired was not because he was carrying out official administration policy.
