America’s widespread baby formula shortage gets worse

President Joe Biden‘s administration announced its 17th Operation Fly Formula mission on Monday as marketing data shows the baby formula shortage is getting worse.

The administration announced two flights to transport Nestlé Health Science amino acid-based formula from Switzerland to John F. Kennedy Airport in New York on July 21 and 22.

The delivery will include the equivalent of 802,446 8-ounce bottles of formula, which will be distributed primarily to hospitals and home health care providers.

But, despite the rash of flights the administration has announced, U.S. stores are still struggling to stock baby formula on their shelves.

Formula availability dropped to its lowest level so far this year, with about 30% of products out of stock for the week ended July 3, according to the market-research firm IRI.

Assistant Secretary for Health Rachel Levine said transgender youths need to be empowered to get “gender affirmation treatment” on MSNBC Monday.

Levine, who is transgender, said transgender youths are threatened by mental health issues, bullying and political attacks, and that treatment of these youths should affirm their perceived gender identity and empower them to get sex change treatments.

“So we really want to base our treatment and to affirm and to support and empower these youth not to limit their participation in activities in sports and even limit their ability to get gender affirmation treatment in their state,” Levine told MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell.

Levine previously endorsed Biden’s June 15 executive order expanding access to sex change treatments for children and said there is no debate within the medical community about whether children who believe they are transgender should receive sex change treatments.

Avery Siwinski is a 17-year-old whose parents spent $11,000 on a used Ford Focus Electric car, which is a 2014 model and had about 60,000 miles when it was bought, according to KVUE.

The teenager had the car for six months before it began giving her issues and the dashboard was flashing symbols.

“It was fine at first,” Siwinski said. “I loved it so much. It was small and quiet and cute. And all the sudden it stopped working.”

The Ford dealership had advised us that we could replace the battery,” said her grandfather, Ray Siwinski. “It would only cost $14,000.”

However, the family found out that there weren’t any batteries of that type available anymore because the Ford model is discontinued.”Then we found out the batteries aren’t even available,” Siwinski said. “So it didn’t matter. They could cost twice as much and we still couldn’t get it.”

Full Measure: July 17, 2022 – Cameras in Court

Today we begin with the debate over just how much we’re entitled to see of what goes on in America’s federal courtrooms. And should we get to see it firsthand — or even live?

It’s neither an easy nor a settled question nearly a century after cameras entered their first courtroom. Some argue they provide accountability and transparency of the judiciary branch. Others see only a circus.

Former LA deputy DA attacked by same suspect in Kim Glass assault: ‘The writing was on the wall’

Irene Lee, who was attacked by the suspect in 2020, discussed the need for victim advocacy and why she believes Glass’ attack was “entirely predictable and preventable.”

“When I was attacked, he was already on three grants of felony probation,” Lee said on “America’s Newsroom” Monday. “He had attacked three women, two of them with a golf club and a hammer, and he threatened to harm them. And another incident that was about a year prior to my attack where he had gone after a young woman with a metal pipe and struck her numerous times causing injuries.”

The suspect, 51-year-old Semeon Tesfamariam, faces up to 11 years behind bars and was out on parole at the time of the attack. Tesfamariam was convicted of felonies in 2018 and 2019.

The seven-member school board of the Norwalk-LaMirada Unified School District will vote during a meeting Monday evening on allowing Planned Parenthood to open and operate a clinic for reproductive health care at John Glenn High School in Norwalk.

Abortions and gender-affirming hormone therapy are not listed as services that will be provided at the on-campus site, but clinic staff will be permitted to make referrals to other Planned Parenthood centers “for services not offered” at the school, according to the proposal.

The clinic will also be able to write prescriptions and dispense pharmaceuticals related to reproductive health, including contraceptives, and can provide the insertion of non-surgical long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARCS), including IUDs, according to the proposal.

“This report confirms the unfortunate reality of what we already knew – that gun violence is on the rise in Portland and that it is being driven by a very small percentage of our population,” Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler said in a statement Saturday following the release of the crime data.

Researchers for the California Partnership for Safe Communities compiled crime data from the city, specifically examining homicides and non-fatal shootings from 2019 to 2021.

The data found that there was a 144% increase in homicides from January 2019 to June 2021 while non-fatal shootings increase by 241% from January 2019 to December 2021.

The Chinese Communist Party’s Ministry of National Defence demanded President Joe Biden’s administration immediately cancel an estimated $108 million arms sale to Taiwan, a Chinese state broadcaster reported on Monday, according to Reuters on Monday.

The demand comes three days after the Pentagon announced that the U.S. State Department had approved the “possible” multi-million dollar sale to the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the United States. Taipei is the capital city of Taiwan.

The Pentagon asserted that the proposed sale “serves U.S. national, economic, and security interests by supporting the recipient’s continuing efforts to modernize its armed forces and to maintain a credible defensive capability.”

The State Department says it is not considering a redesignation of the Iranian-backed Houthi rebels as a terrorist group, even after a delegation of human rights activists launched a pressure campaign against the Biden administration.

A redesignation of the Houthis is not a top priority, according to the State Department.

“We are currently focused on securing, extending, and building on the [United Nations] truce in Yemen, which is having a tangible impact on millions of Yemenis and provides a credible opportunity for peace in Yemen,” a spokesman told the Washington Free Beacon.

The designation was first approved by the Trump administration during its push to isolate Iranian-backed terror fronts but reversed by President Joe Biden when he took office last year.

Dems Kill Bills To Stop Taxpayer Funds From Reaching Iran

Congressional Democrats killed a handful of measures that would have stopped the Biden administration from providing U.S. taxpayer funds to the hardline Iranian regime and increased economic sanctions on the country.

Democrats running the House Rules Committee last week shot down seven Republican-led measures targeting Iran. Republican foreign policy leaders were pushing for the measures to be included in the recently passed National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), the sprawling annual funding bill for national security priorities.

Congressional sources who spoke to the Washington Free Beacon said House Democrats rejected the measures to help the Biden administration in its push to secure a revamped version of the 2015 nuclear accord.

Why America looks ‘RIDICULOUS’ as Europe’s SHORTAGES grow

Sam Brinton wears many hats. Not only is he Biden’s Deputy Assistant Secretary for Spent Fuel and Waste Disposition, a self-described ‘nuclear nerd,’ and has top-secret national security clearance, but he cross dresses too!

So at a time when Europe is having record inflation, food shortages, and is on the brink of a possible war over oil, we send THESE TWO to represent the United States?

In this clip, Glenn explores how ‘ridiculous’ America currently looks. Plus, he shares a story from Pat’s cross-dressing days, too…
