Gun-wielding kids as young as 10 years old have carjacked over a dozen drivers since late June, Chicago cops say

Blanchard said it was “traumatizing” to learn that the children used her BMW the next day to carjack a woman in the parking lot of Trinity Hospital, the paper reported.

In that carjacking, police said a 21-year-old was seated in her Lexus when four or five teens exited a BMW, with two of the culprits confronting the victim with guns, the Sun-Times said.

Two teens forced the victim to the ground outside the car, the paper said, adding that she grabbed a door handle and held on until the teens drove off, police said. The woman was treated for a foot injury, the Sun-Times said.

Option No. 2: “Please discuss and describe in detail any one of the teachers who crushed your spirit, undermined your self-confidence, and made you hate every minute you were forced to be in school.”

Washington teens save female deputy being choked by DUI suspect

A female officer, who was referred to as Deputy Eliot, was reportedly off-duty when she came upon a multi-vehicle car wreck, The King County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.

Eliot confronted an inebriated suspect who allegedly caused the pile-up, and the person began struggling with the deputy and placed her in a chokehold, the sheriff’s office said in the social media post.

“Get off of her!” yelled five young men who jumped on the suspect and pried the him off Eliot, the post said.

The good men then restrained the alleged aggressor, as Eliot collected herself and cuffed him, according to the post.

Mayor Wheeler did not receive the support he thought, and instead, received boos and calls for him to resign.

“Fuck Ted Wheeler,” was a chant used along with the usual “Black Lives Matter” chants.

When Wheeler tried to answer questions from protestors, he reportedly had a protestor drop police munitions used against the crowd at his feet.

As Wheeler joined the crowd, received calls to resign, he was also tear gassed by federal agents protecting a federal court house.

In the civil lawsuits, Maxwell’s lawyers had pushed to keep these records secret, claiming previously “this series of pleadings concerns [attempts] to compel Ms Maxwell to answer intrusive questions about her sex life” that are “extremely personal, confidential and subject to considerable abuse by the media”.

The Manhattan federal court judge ruled on Thursday that they could be unsealed, though Maxwell’s attorneys plan to appeal the decision.

“The court finds that the countervailing interests identified fail to rebut the presumption of public access,” judge Loretta Preska said during a telephone proceeding.

“Accordingly, those papers shall be unsealed.”

Police in Portland, Oregon, had a little bit more on their hands after getting a call about a man attacking people with a handsaw in a laundromat and busting car windshields Friday.

Cops also had to deal with several bystanders who took it upon themselves to taunt and scream at officers who tried to calm down the suspect, which interfered with their de-escalation attempt, KOIN-TV reported.

Police said the man then walked into the middle of traffic and then started moving toward officers while yelling at them and still holding the saw, the station reported.

After several warnings, KOIN said police used a less-lethal munition, and the man dropped the saw.

DeSantis blames Florida’s inflated COVID-19 positive tests on ‘testing industrial complex’: ‘Lot of money at stake here’

The Republican governor also revealed the possibility that a “testing industrial complex” is behind the rise in positive COVID-19 cases across the state, especially in those who said they never took a test.

“There’s a testing industrial complex now,” he said. “There’s a lot of money at stake here, people cranking out these tests. There’s private companies involved.”

The governor also called for Florida residents to come forward if they believe they have been targeted with false results.

“We want to hold people accountable if they’re engaged in funny business like that,” he added.

Black Marine vet holds US flag high amid chaotic Portland protest, gets followed home by Antifa

For more than 50 nights, Gabriel Johnson, 48, a retired Marine, has been kept awake by the sounds of rioting and explosions taking place outside his window in Portland, Ore.

After two months of living in fear, at 3 a.m. Sunday he had had enough, “at that point I [had] counted 82 explosions and just thought, you know, somebody has to do something.”

While he expected his actions would be divisive to some, the retired Marine was not prepared for the reaction he got.

“I was being called the N-word by Black people. People were chasing me around with baseball bats,” Johnson told Fox News.

Was ‘Russia Collusion’ a Diversion From the Real Scandal?—John Solomon & Seamus Bruner Talk Spygate

Commentary/Opinion:
For over 2 years, The Epoch Times has been investigating the FBI’s “Crossfire Hurricane” investigation into the 2016 Trump campaign and related FISA abuse, what’s now often known as “Spygate.”

According to investigative journalists John Solomon and Seamus Bruner, co-authors of “Fallout,” the seeds of this scandal go back well before President Trump came into the picture, as far back as 2009—and directly involve the highest offices of the country.

Pennsylvania county sues governor over withheld disaster aid

The county’s Republican commissioners voted to progress to the green stage of the administration’s phased economic reopening plan in mid-May, despite warnings from Wolf that such action would come with consequences – forfeiting disaster aid chief among them.

Six more weeks would pass before the Department of Health gave county officials permission to go green.

Wolf told reporters last week he followed through on his promise.

“Don’t come and say you want something from the state when you haven’t followed the rules,” he said.

“There are consequences. These are the consequences.”

‘It’s A Yes Or No Question’: Harris Faulkner Challenges Marie Harf To Name One Republican-Led City Experiencing A Rise In Violence

Continued violence — particularly in Democrat-led cities like Portland, Chicago and Seattle — was the topic of heated debate through several segments of Thursday’s “Outnumbered.”

Faulkner turned the question to Harf after Dagen McDowell suggested that the situation boiled down to a binary choice between “incompetence or disdain.”

Harf responded by saying that it was “unfair” to say that those mayors did not care about their citizens and claiming that President Donald Trump was targeting Democrat-led cities for political reasons rather than because they were the only ones who warranted intervention.

Faulkner pushed back then, challenging Harf to name a Republican-led city that was facing similar levels of unrest and violence.

“Marie, is there another Republican-led city that is having the kinds of problems that we are seeing in a Democratic-led city? Let me let you answer that. Is there?”

In this 1980 photo, then-Rep. Michael Myers, D-Pa. speaks to reporters at the Capitol after he was expelled from Congress by fellow house members for taking a bribe in the FBI Abscam case.

Myers, a Democrat, served as a congressman for Pennsylvania’s 1st District from 1976 until he was expelled from the House in 1980 after the Abscam scandal.

The Justice Department said Thursday he has been charged this week with conspiring and bribing the former Judge of Elections for the 39th Ward, 36th Division, Domenick J. Demuro. Demuro had pleaded guilty previously in federal court and was responsible for overseeing the entire election process and all voter activities of his division in accord with federal and state election laws.

Myers, 77, is accused of stuffing ballot boxes for candidates during the 2014, 2015 and 2016 primary elections, bribing Demuro, falsifying records, voting more that once in federal elections, and obstruction of justice.

In one of his most significant foreign policy speeches since taking office, Pompeo railed against the Communist Party’s gross human rights abuses, cyber espionage operations, and routine bullying of Western nations. Pompeo said the world must immediately act to ensure that Communist China’s vision for world dominance is not realized.

Pompeo spoke frankly about the dangers Communist ideology poses to the world and sought to reestablish America’s democratic principles, saying the country will never bow before Beijing.

“If we don’t act now, ultimately, the CCP will erode our freedoms and subvert the rules-based order free societies have built,” Pompeo said during his remarks at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum in California.

In a statement, the head of the UK’s space directorate said: “We are concerned by the manner in which Russia tested one of its satellites by launching a projectile with the characteristics of a weapon.”

The statement said actions like this “threaten the peaceful use of space”.

The US has previously raised concerns about this Russian satellite.

The incident will heighten concerns of a new arms race in space, he added, saying other nations are also investigating technologies that could be used as weapons in space.

Showdown – The China Angle with Simone Gao

In this episode of the China Angle, we’ll examine these questions and assess where US-China relations are likely to go from here.

We begin with a look at the events unfolding over the past week.

This week, US-China tensions escalated, following the U.S. government’s new policies on the autonomy of Hong Kong and their classification of Chinese social media apps, including TikTok and Wechat, as potential national security threats.

With the Trump administration’s signing of the Hong Kong Autonomy Act, an act condemning the Chinese regime for eroding Hong Kong’s freedom and, for the first time, rejecting most of Beijing’s territorial claims in the South China Sea, the administration assumed a much more forceful stance, creating a “perfect storm” for the Chinese Communist Party.

‘He’s an incompetent’: Mark Levin rips Dr. Fauci for PRAISING New York’s disastrous coronavirus response

Commentary/Opinion:
Levin called Fauci’s statement “shocking,” adding that Fauci’s “gift of communication” gives him an odd sort of charisma, and that the mainstream media has consistently over-hyped his proficiency.

“It’s clear, he’s extremely political. He’s been in government 50 years. He’s an incompetent,” Levin said of Fauci.

“He’s been in this job for 37 years. He’s been in the federal government for 50 years … that means in 2009, when they didn’t have a handle on the swine flu, when they didn’t know what they were doing, when it was pure luck, he was the infectious disease guy then, too.

Remember, he’s the infectious disease guy. He’s not ‘America’s doctor’. He’s not America’s health expert for all purposes. He’s the infectious disease guy.”
