Dolphin ‘mega pod’ off California coast stuns onlookers, video shows

Chuck Patterson and his friends were taking their boat out for hydrofoil surfing when the dolphins appeared in the waters off Laguna Beach.

The pod began following in their wake and surrounded the vessel. The dolphins swam alongside and leaped out of the water as they raced alongside the boat.

“Absolutely amazing witnessing this huge pod of young dolphins marching up the coast off Laguna Beach today,” Patterson wrote on Facebook.

“Mother Nature’s amazing wonders never disappoint.”

New York man kills girlfriend, posts pics to Instagram after she reportedly kissed other man at concert: Cops

Bianca Devins, 17, Brandon Clark, 21,

Oneida County District Attorney Scott McNamara said that the prosecuting office will likely treat the murder of Bianca Devins, 17, as a case of “extreme emotional disturbance” after an early investigation into the events that led to her killing suggest that the suspect, Brandon Clark, 21, didn’t plan it.

Officials said the pair attended a concert in New York City the night before the killing and it is believed that they got into an argument on the way home.

Utica Police said in a statement to Fox News: “With respect to their relationship, it was learned that the two had met on the social media platform Instagram approximately two months ago.

They utilized this as a means of communication primarily, and their relationship progressed into a personally intimate one. They had spent time together, and were acquainted with each other’s families.”

Mississippi state House candidate kills wife, self in murder-suicide, police say

Carl Robinson was seeking election in the Mississippi House of Representatives.
Prior to the shooting, Robinson had been gearing up for the Democratic primary on Aug. 6.

Marshall County Sheriff Kenny Dickerson said the shootings happened Tuesday at Williams Medical Clinic in Potts Camp after Carl Robinson received divorce papers.

“We found the shooter dead from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his head,” Dickerson told the Daily Journal newspaper.

“He and his wife were in the process of a divorce. His wife was lying on the floor near his body.”

Witnesses told the Daily Journal they saw Robinson pacing around outside the clinic before going into the building.

Jesse Jackson urges Trump to pardon former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich

Jackson, the civil rights leader whose nonprofit Rainbow PUSH Coalition is based in Chicago, argued that Blagojevich’s 14-year sentence is “unfair and unnecessary.”

Blagojevich was convicted of various offenses, including trying to leverage his power to appoint someone to former President Barack Obama’s vacated Senate seat to raise campaign cash or land a high-paying job.

He has served seven years and three months of his sentence – one the stiffest penalties imposed for corruption in a state with a history of crooked politics.

Trump has previously spoken about releasing the ex-governor, saying he was convicted for “being stupid,” but no action has been taken.

CAIR Targets Loomer Before Minnesota Speaking Tour

The war between Loomer and the radical Islamist organization is once again escalating.

Loomer is suing CAIR along with Twitter after it assisted in having her banned from the Big Tech platform in November, where she had 260,000 followers.

She was banned after calling Muslim Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) “anti-Jewish,” for which there is ample supporting evidence.

While Loomer is banned, CAIR continues to operate freely, despite its well-documented ties to Islamic terrorism.

Just last week, the brother of Zahra Billoo, CAIR’s San Francisco director who, according to the Wall Street Journal had a role in Loomer’s Twitter ban, was exposed for calling for the extermination of Jews.

Texas town blocks mayor’s bid to become ‘sanctuary city for the unborn’

Mineral Wells Mayor Christopher Perricone wanted to create an ordinance, similar to one passed by another Texas border town, that would make the city a “sanctuary city for the unborn.”

But when he asked the city manager to add an item to Tuesday City Council agenda, the city attorney advised council members the abortion ban would conflict with federal law, FOX 4 reported.

The council in Mineral Wells voted 5-2 against moving forward, with opponents saying it had nothing to do with politics but rather just they didn’t want the city to have to pay for a lawsuit.

And after the vote was taken, the public was allowed to give its input.

The debate got heated at some points both for and against the proposal.

Elon Musk claims robot surgeon will sew electrodes into human brains, starting in 2020

A closeup of Neuralink’s robot surgeon inserting sample threads into agar.
MAGE: NEURALINK (SCREENSHOT

These threads are covered in electrodes and inserted into the brain next to neurons and synapses.

The results could allow humans to “merge” with artificial intelligence.

Elon Musk’s super-secretive startup Neuralink has finally revealed where it’s at on the whole human-machine mind-meld project, and if the phrase “Elon Musk says a monkey has been able to control a computer with its brain” is on your sci-fi apocalypse bingo card, we have good news for you.

True to form, Musk couldn’t help but talk the biggest game possible in his opening presentation, saying the technology is “important on a civilisation-level scale” (you know, because the singularity is coming, and it will be terrifying).

“Even in a benign AI scenario, we will be left behind,” he said. “With a high-bandwidth brain-machine interface, we can have the option of merging with AI.”

Liberal Professor Warns: Google Manipulating Voters ‘on a Massive Scale’

Dr. Robert Epstein told Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) on Tuesday that Google can manipulate votes by using tools that they have at their disposal exclusively, and that no one can counteract them.

Epstein warned the senator of big tech election meddling during his testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee Hearing on “Google and Censorship through Search Engines” on Tuesday.

Facial recognition banned in another city

The City of Oakland in the San Francisco Bay Area has voted to ban municipal use of facial recognition technology, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has announced.

Late Tuesday night, Oakland’s City Council voted to pass the ordinance.

San Francisco in May was the first city to ban its police officers from using facial recognition technology, citing a breach of citizens’ civil liberties, with Somerville City Council in Massachusetts following suit on June 28.

The ACLU said US Congress on Tuesday night also passed an amendment to the Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2020 that would require the Director of National Intelligence to report on any government use of facial recognition technology.

Immigration:

These “leaders” interfered with ICE and violated US law. LET: Get the cuffs.

(Photo – Flickr/Wikipedia/Adobe Stock)

Many local, state, and federal politicians and city leaders have boldly announced that they will interfere with enforcement efforts, and the extreme of these efforts include statements by several of our Congressional members giving tips on how to avoid being departed and even giving pointers on how to deal with ICE and avoid capture.

Politics for sure – fake outrage – after all, that statistics don’t lie: According to Politico, President Trump has ordered deportation an average of 16,900 people per month.

That figure is dwarfed by even the lowest month under President Obama, which boasted more than 20,000 people. Obama’s highest month exceeded 34,000.

In fact, President Obama deported more people than any president in history – according to research by ABC News, between 2009 and 2015, the Obama administration removed more than 2.5 million people through immigration orders, which doesn’t include the number of people who “self-deported” or were turned away and/or returned to their home country at the border by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

Add an additional 260,000 deportations for 2016. 2.75 million deported, approximately.

Ironically, there were no protests against the Obama administration concerningdeportations, and no direct, physical interference by citizens and city employees.

Appeals court gives Trump a win in sanctuary city case

The 2-1 opinion overturned a nationwide injunction issued by a federal judge in Los Angeles.

The court said awarding extra points in the application process to cities that cooperate was consistent with the goals of the grant program created by Congress.

“The Department is pleased that the Court recognized the lawful authority of the Administration to provide favorable treatment when awarding discretionary law-enforcement grants to jurisdictions that assist in enforcing federal immigration laws,” the Justice Department said in an emailed statement.

“This ruling reverses a lawless decision that enabled Sanctuary City policies, putting the safety and security of all Americans in harm’s way,” the White House said later Friday in an emailed statement.

“We urge citizens across America to demand that Democrat leaders cease their support for Sanctuary policies that deprive Americans of life, limb, and liberty.”

The situation is dire.

Smuggling cartels tell lies about instant asylum and open borders and have drawn migrants by the hundreds of thousands to border stations near McAllen and El Paso in Texas, along with other crossings along the Rio Grande.

It isn’t until they arrive that migrants discover the truth: applying for legal entry into the United States is a long, confusing process.

There are rules – and the line started forming years ago.

Acting Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan and Acting Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director Mark Morgan joined us for a briefing hosted by the McAllen sector team.

What we heard shocks the conscience.

2,100 more troops headed to the U.S.-Mexico border, Pentagon says

They will join some 2,500 active-duty and 2,000 National Guard troops already there, for a total force of 6,600 on the border mission.

The new active-duty troops will arrive “in the next several weeks” and will provide “aerial surveillance, operational, logistical, and administrative support” to Customs and Border Patrol, Pentagon spokesperson Maj. Chris Mitchell said in a statement.

The increase in active-duty forces is required due to a “shortfall in volunteer National Guard personnel” conducting the same missions, Mitchell said.

Progressive Dem ‘squad’ fires back at Pelosi, Trump after House vote

The four House congresswomen feuding with the speaker and President Trump speak out on the tensions on Capitol Hill; Mark Meredith reports.

Ben Carson defends Trump amid feud with House Dems: ‘He’s not a racist’

“I have an advantage of knowing the president very well, and he’s not a racist and his comments are not racist,” Carson said on “America’s Newsroom.”

“But he loves the country very much and, you know, he has a feeling that those who represent the country should love it as well.”

Carson said Trump’s policies speak for themselves and have lifted minorities out of poverty by expanding employment opportunities and providing affordable housing.

He also said a racist wouldn’t be interested in helping poor, minority communities whatsoever.

“Look at his policies, you know, under this president you see the rising tide lifting all boats. You see low unemployment … record-low for blacks, for Hispanics … for all the demographics of our nation,” he said.

Trump A Racist? 32% of Democrats Say Any White Criticism of Politicians of Color Is Racist

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 47% of all Likely U.S. Voters think Trump is a racist, down a bit from 50% in January 2018.

Slightly more (49%) disagree and say his opponents are accusing him of racism only for political gain, up from 43% in the earlier survey

It is worth noting that all four — Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), and Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) are members of a group called the “Justice Democrats.” The group is specifically devoted to backing primary candidates against Democratic incumbents seen as being too moderate and too white.

Last November, the Justice Democrats launched a campaign called “#OurTime,” aimed at recruiting candidates to challenge “Democratic incumbents who are demographically and ideologically out-of-touch with their districts.”

From the start, the “Squad” devoted itself to an explicitly race-based political effort.

Then there are their statements.

Omar to Introduce Resolution Declaring Support for Anti-Israel BDS Movement

“We are introducing a resolution . . . to really speak about the American values that support and believe in our ability to exercise our first amendment rights in regard to boycotting,” Omar told Al-Monitor.

“And it is an opportunity for us to explain why it is we support a nonviolent movement, which is the BDS movement.”

The anti-BDS resolution further notes that the movement’s founder, Omar Bharghouti, has openly dismissed the possibility of reaching any settlement that allows the state of Israel to retain its sovereignty.

Omar is expected to cast the lone vote against the anti-BDS resolution, further highlighting the divide between herself and the panel’s older, more-established lawmakers, who have condemned her comments about Israel in the past.

RNC, accusing Dems of ‘deafening silence’ over desecrations, sends 74 American flags to top officials

The Republican National Committee prepares to send 74 Democratic officials American flags amid attacks on national symbol.

Seventy-four top-ranking officials are being sent an American flag alongside a copy of the United States Flag Code and a letter from the Republican Party, Fox News has learned.

“In recent weeks it has become increasingly clear that the proper respect and handling for the United States flag is an issue for the Democrat Party,” RNC chairwoman Ronna McDaniel wrote in the letter, obtained by Fox News, which is being sent this week.

“To have our flag be taken down and have protesters put up another country’s flag is just egregious,” McDaniel told Fox News during a phone interview. Democrats, the RNC told Fox News, responded with “deafening silence” to attacks on the flag.

A WHO expert committee had declined on three previous occasions to advise the United Nations health agency to make the declaration for this outbreak, which other experts say has long met the conditions.

More than 1,600 people have died since August in the second deadliest Ebola outbreak in history, which is unfolding in a region described as a war zone.

This week the first Ebola case was confirmed in Goma, a major regional crossroads in northeastern Congo on the Rwandan border with an international airport.

Health experts have feared this scenario for months.

A declaration of a global health emergency often brings greater international attention and aid, along with concerns that nervous governments might overreact with border closures.

WHO defines a global emergency as an “extraordinary event” which constitutes a risk to other countries and requires a coordinated international response.

“Dengue cases nationwide now reach a cumulative figure of 106,630. This is 85 percent higher compared to the same period last year.”

The spike in cases usually comes every 3-4 years with the last known increase having been in 2016, Duque said, making this year’s figures as expected.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Dengue is common to more than 100 countries and, on average, about 400 million people will get infected with the disease each year.

Of that number, 100 million will get sick and 22,000 will die from the infection.

The virus is usually spread through the bite of an infected mosquito.

The unidentified gunman opened fire in broad daylight at the Huqqabaz restaurant where the Turkish diplomat was dining, and Turkey’s state-run news agency added one of the diplomats killed in the incident worked at Ankara’s consulate in the northern Iraqi city.

The dead man was identified as the deputy consul general.

The restaurant’s owner, told the Anadolu Agency that an attacker in civilian clothes and carrying two weapons opened fire at a group of consulate workers shortly after they entered the restaurant and said the diplomat died at the site.

Kurdish security forces later said a Turkish diplomat and a civilian were killed and another civilian wounded in the attack.

Labadee, Haiti – October 12, 2009: Royal Caribbean Cruises, cruise ship Freedom of the seas anchored in Labadee.

Royal Caribbean canceled stops in San Juan on at least two of its cruises, affecting passengers on Empress of the Seas and Harmony of the Seas.

Some passengers took to Twitter to complain, while others praised the cruise line for taking the safety of their passengers so seriously.

In a statement to Fox News, a spokesperson for Royal Caribbean commented on the latest cancellation, saying, “Due to the ongoing civil unrest in San Juan, Puerto Rico, we have canceled Harmony of the Seas’ call to San Juan. Harmony will now sail to St. Maarten, her next scheduled port of call. Concern for the safety and wellbeing of our guests and crew members is our top priority.”
