Along with the aerial demonstrations, fireworks and other festivities, the president will make an address to the nation before Stamos — who hosted last year’s festivities as well — kicks off “an all-star salute to America’s 243rd birthday” that includes performances by singer-songwriter Carole King, actress and singer Vanessa Williams, pop star Colbie Caillat and a special appearance by the Sesame Street Muppets.

AOC screamed at Border Patrol agents in ‘threatening manner’ during tour: Witnesses

A group of 14 House Democrats, including Ocasio-Cortez, and their aides kicked off their visit to the region at about 11 a.m. MST Monday at the El Paso Station on Hondo Pass Drive.

The group was standing inside the station near an area where migrants are held when Ocasio-Cortez left them to sit inside a nearby holding area with a family as the other lawmakers and aides were briefed on station operations.

“She comes out screaming at our agents, right at the beginning [of the tour] … Crying and screaming and yelling,” said one witness who said he was stunned by the outburst in front of approximately 40 people.

The congresswoman, who led a charge in 2018 to abolish Immigration and Customs Enforcement, recounted the scene differently in a social media post afterward and did not mention yelling at agents.

Dunkin’ dumps store owners for hiring undocumented workers

According to several reports, the Massachusetts-based breakfast and lunch restaurant, which recently changed its name from Dunkin’ Donuts, has sued to stop those franchise owners from operating.

A post from Americans for Legal Immigration PAC, said, “Each of the lawsuits is similar.

And the Center for Immigration Studies, citing a Law360 report, said, “the corporation filed a suit against multiple former franchisees ‘with locations in Pennsylvania and Delaware’ stating that they were ‘sullying the coffee chain’s reputation … [when they] engaged in illegal hiring practices in breach of their contracts.’”

“It’s disgusting. It happened to me when I was the director. They doxed me, my home address, and I had 80 protesters at my house on a Sunday morning,” Homan explained on “Fox and Friends” Monday.

“Whoever wrote this op-ed obviously has never spoken to a border patrol agent, and she’s pushing a false narrative,” he continued.

Tiny robots are ‘dominating space’

The race is on to clean up the space junk orbiting above our heads. But fears are these trash collectors are really killer “gremlins”.

Touted as space-junk clean-up drones, they also have the potential to grab vital GPS, communications and surveillance satellites — and send them hurtling towards the ground.

And strange things are already happening in orbit.

Analysts are asking: is it space junk, or sabotage?

Instead of having to gather, organize and analyze overwhelming amounts of fast-emerging combat variables, soldiers and marines can instantly access a single, integrated or “fused” product enabling them to destroy enemies “first.”

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s SQUAD X program, which is already testing with both CACI and Lockheed Martin, can take information from drone-video feeds, armed ground robots and acoustic sensors detecting the origin of incoming enemy small arms fire – and use automation to present a combined picture to squad leaders in combat.

“A Marine squad does not ever stop moving. They have a ‘bias toward action.’ We want to create a form of autonomy that also has a ‘bias toward action’ to retain the initiative.

With human oversight, we employ automated engagement,” Lt. Col. Philip Root, program manager for SQUAD X, told Warrior Maven in an interview earlier this year.

A virtual reality massage center will open in Los Angeles this week

Esqapes

Los Angeles residents will soon be able to float off into distant worlds while their aches are soothed in a virtual reality massage center, which opening this Friday, July 5th.

At the outset, the Esqapes Immersive Relaxation Center, supposedly the first of its kind, will offer 10 different VR environments for you to try and relax in, including a sauna, a koi pond at an ocean-side resort and a ski cabin with a crackling fireplace.

The center will pump in fragrances related to each setting along with a cool breeze.

The massage isn’t virtual, but it’s not from a human, either — it’s an automated massage chair, hopefully better than the one you collapse into for a break at the mall.

Who knew endoscopies could be so much fun?

“We capture the challenges of the practice of medicine — diagnosis, clinical challenges, procedural challenges — and we capture them as video game mechanics,” Glassenberg told Mashable.

“I think gamification education is going to be the next frontier,” Dr. Atman Shah, a University of Chicago interventional cardiology specialist and Level Ex physician adviser, said.

“If you can get to a point where it’s actually realistic, the patient outcomes are realistic, the graphics are realistic, there’s a real critical story, it becomes so much more meaningful for the person who’s learning.”

Four-percent raises will also be received by the state attorney general, treasurer, controller, insurance commissioner and other statewide officials.

The government will be looking for “some evidence” that the North Koreans are willing to “disarm and dismantle their nuclear and ballistic missile capabilities,” he continued.

Police carrying riot shields and firing tear gas moved in shortly after midnight to clear surrounding streets and then moved into the already vacated legislative chambers.

A spokesman had earlier broadcast a warning that “appropriate force” would be used in the clearance operation, but there was no immediate word on any arrests or injuries.

The sharp escalation in tactics came on the anniversary of the former British colony’s return to China, a city holiday, and reflected mounting frustration with Hong Kong’s leader for not responding to protesters’ demands after several weeks of demonstrations.

A team of German and Kurdish archaeologists reports that, in fall 2018, receding waters in the Mosul Dam reservoir unexpectedly revealed the remains in the ancient city, Kemune.

The Bronze Age palace was revealed on the eastern bank of the Tigris river in Iraq’s Duhok province.

As part of a project involving the University of Tübingen in Germany, the Kurdistan Archaeology Organization and Duhok Directorate of Antiquities, archaeologists identified a building with mud brick walls up to 2 meters (6.56 feet) thick.

The ruins of the palace, which in ancient times stood on a terrace overlooking the Tigris Valley, are preserved to a height of about 23 feet.

The site was once part of the ancient Mittani empire, which encompassed much of modern-day Iraq and Syria from the 15th century to the 14th century B.C.
