“Missouri police on Monday were hunting for a man who shot and killed a Clinton cop late Sunday night during a traffic stop.

PHOENIX (AP) — “Jurors sentenced a Phoenix woman to death on Monday in the killing of a 10-year-old cousin who was locked in a small plastic storage box and left to die as punishment for stealing an ice pop.

Sammantha Allen, 29, will become the 55th woman on death row in the U.S. after the jury reached its verdict Monday. “The remains of a man killed at the World Trade Center on 9/11 have been identified nearly 16 years after the attacks.

The New York City medical examiners’ office announced the finding Monday.

SYDNEY (Reuters) – “An Australian Navy survey ship has located a U.S. military aircraft that crashed off the Australian northeast coast at the weekend and left three Marines missing, Defence Minister Marise Payne said on Monday.

(Reuters) – “U.S. health insurer Anthem Inc (ANTM.N) said on Monday it will no longer offer Obamacare plans in Nevada’s state exchange and will stop offering the plans in nearly half of Georgia’s counties next year.

Aug. 7 (UPI) — “Militants of the Islamic State and the Taliban joined forces to attack an Afghan village last week — killing dozens of villagers, a provincial spokesman said Monday.

The attack came in the northern Afghanistan village of Mirzawalang in Sar-e-Pul province.

Provincial council leader Mohammad Noor Rahmani’s office said two insurgent groups collaborated in the attack on the minority Shiite Hazara community. Aug. 7 (UPI) — “Italian police said Monday that 15 volunteer firefighters have been arrested in Sicily on suspicions they deliberately set blazes and reported fake fires to earn about $12 an hour.

Aug. 7 (UPI) — “Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel said his city is suing President Donald Trump’s Department of Justice after it threatened to withhold federal grant money to law enforcement agencies in so-called “sanctuary cities.”

DOJ fires back at Chicago’s sanctuary city lawsuit threat 

“Dan Bongino reacted to the city of Baltimore’s failure to get through even one weekend without anyone in the city getting killed.

“What’s the common denominator in inner cities that are collapsing and are being beaten up by crime and poverty?” Bongino asked. “The common denominator is liberals.”

“Republicans may not be the answer … but far-left liberalism certainly has been the cause of the problems.”

“Every day it becomes clearer why former National Security Adviser Gen. Michael Flynn was unmasked and the early target of a series of illegal leaks targeting Team Trump. Flynn was an unabashed critic of President Barack Hussein Obama and someone who would take a bullet for Trump in any political battle. He had to be dispensed with and someone less loyal to Trump and more accommodating to the “resistance” put in his place.
