A new study by Families USA found that more than 5.4 million people who lost their jobs are uninsured, compared to 3.9 million who were in a similar situation during the Great Recession.
Coupled with rising health care costs, individuals with pre-existing conditions and/or serious health issues are suffering the most.

NEWS VIDEO: A Wilson man was in custody Monday night, about 24 hours after police said he shot and killed a 5-year-old boy.
UPDATED: Neighbor reportedly rushes 5-year-old boy playing outside, puts a gun to his head, and executes him
A GoFundMe page set up to benefit the family has raised at least $5,577 at the time of this reporting.
Christina Prezioso, a cousin of the family, created the page, writing, “A beautiful 5 year old baby boy riding his bicycle was shot by his neighbor point blank in Wilson NC.”
“One minute he is enjoying his life, the next it all ends because he rode into his neighbors yard,” she wrote.
GoFundMe organizer and family member Christina Prezioso says that the online donation page has been temporarily paused, but that any interested donors can call the family’s funeral home directly to make donations.
According to the statement, a 51-year-old male approached a Secret Service officer standing at his post near the White House Complex, and informed the officer that he had a weapon.
The Secret Service did not say if the “object” was a weapon.
“The suspect then turned around, ran aggressively towards the officer, and in a drawing motion, withdrew the object from his clothing. He then crouched into a shooter’s stance as if about to fire a weapon.
The Secret Service officer discharged his weapon striking the individual in the torso.”
Madeleine Westerhout, former director of Oval Office Operations, told host Steve Doocy about the “bad night” in which she made comments Trump described as “hurtful.”
“On a rare day off after a couple of drinks by the pool, I accepted an invitation to an off-the-record dinner with four reporters and a White House colleague of mine, and at that dinner I said some things that I didn’t mean and that I never should have said,” Westerhout explained.
Westerhout shared with Doocy that she has learned a lot and taken time to reflect on how she has treated people.

In the rioting and looting that broke out in the wake of George Floyd’s death hundreds of millions of dollars in damage was done.
“That’s a problem, bro,” state Sen. Gustavo Rivera, a Democrat, told New York Health Commissioner Howard Zucker during a legislative hearing on nursing homes earlier this month.
“It seems, sir, that in this case you are choosing to define it differently so that you can look better.”
Even if half that undercount had held true from the start of the pandemic, that would translate into thousands more nursing home resident deaths than the state has acknowledged.
Most Voters Think Democrats Side With Protesters And Trump Sides With Police During Violent Protests, Survey Says
The survey comes after months of unrest across the country. Violence continues in cities such as Portland and Chicago.
Respondents across different racial demographics were polled, according to Rasmussen.
Most black respondents, 79%, said Trump identifies with police over protesters, along with 66% of white and 53% of other minority respondents, Rasmussen reported.
However, 53% of black respondents said Democratic leaders identify more with protesters, along with 61% of white and 62% of other minorities.
The rally was organized by Black Lives Matter Chicago and was held at a police station in the South Loop where organizers say individuals are currently being held in custody. At least one organizer called the looting tantamount to “reparations.”
“I don’t care if someone decides to loot a Gucci or a Macy’s or a Nike store, because that makes sure that person eats,” said Ariel Atkins, a BLM organizer, according to NBC Chicago. “That makes sure that person has clothes.”
“That is reparations,” Atkins continued. “Anything they wanted to take, they can take it because these businesses have insurance.”
The rapid-fire passage of pro-abortion legislation in 2019 cemented Gideon’s place as Maine’s leading pro-abortion legislator, a reputation that translated into endorsements and financial support from national pro-abortion groups.
Both NARAL Pro-Choice America and EMILY’s List endorsed Gideon a day after she formally entered the race, funneling nearly $200,000 in donations to Gideon’s campaign.
Planned Parenthood, meanwhile, has spent roughly $100,000 since July in outside spending to support Gideon’s candidacy.
Gideon, who did not respond to a request for comment, is neck-and-neck in the fight for the Senate seat held by Sen. Susan Collins, one of the few congressional Republicans who support Roe v. Wade.
Republican Sen. Ron Johnson joins ‘America’s Newsroom’ after issuing a subpoena to FBI Director Christopher Wray as part of the review into the Russia probe origins.
Sen. Michael MacDonald, R-Macomb Township, sponsored the bill the Senate passed in May, and Whitmer vetoed on Monday.
MacDonald said he was disappointed Whitmer “has decided to protect trial lawyers instead of the front-line health care workers who are making critical decisions each day to save lives from COVID-19.”
“By vetoing this measure, the governor is just making it harder for medical professionals to do their job,” MacDonald said in a statement.
“As this global pandemic continues, our doctors and nurses should be able to focus on providing the best care possible for their patients without worrying about possible lawsuits.”
Citing actions of the Biden-Sanders Unity Task Force, the representative said she and fellow progressives were able to “significantly push Joe Biden to do things that he hadn’t signed onto before.”
“He is movable, he is listening, and he does understand that we need turnout from young people, from folks of color, and I’m going to do everything I can to help get him elected,” she said on the talk show.
“And then, I’m going to be right out front making sure that we continue to push for the policies that we need as a country.”
With conservative commentators and publications suggesting Biden is a puppet for his eventual Vice Presidential choice and the far-left actors he surrounds himself with, these comments can be seen as proof that this is in fact the plan. President Trump said last month that Biden is a “puppet of the militant left.”
The report published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention showed that despite long lines in Wisconsin’s April 7 primary elections — at the peak of the outbreak — there was no spike in new cases, hospitalizations or deaths.
The battleground state was the first in the nation to hold a primary after stay-at-home orders were issued in late March.
The CDC study of the impact on voters in Milwaukee revealed that 33% fewer deaths were reported three weeks after the elections than earlier in April.
Former State Department official Steven Schrage released a bombshell story over the weekend that provides insight into how the Deep State coup against President Trump likely all began.
Schrage says the origin likely goes back to a conference he hosted at Cambridge University before the election titled, “2016’s Race to Change the World.
” He invited former Trump campaign advisor Carter Page to the seminar, where Page was introduced to Schrage’s mentor, Stefan Halper.
Glenn explains how that ONE introduction might be where the entire Russia, Trump conspiracy concocted by the left to destroy the now-president all began.

Danchenko readily confessed to agents that he “felt like he had to report something back to Steele” to justify the monthly salary he was receiving.
So, he peddled gossip, rumor, innuendo and speculation from “random associates” and his drinking buddies to keep the paychecks coming.
The main accusations were untrue – Danchenko said so. Imagine the look on the faces of the FBI agents as they learned that it was all a fairy tale.
But Comey and his confederates, deputy director Andrew McCabe and counterintelligence official Peter Strzok, saw to it that the evidence of Trump’s innocence gleaned from Danchenko was buried somewhere in the bowels of the J. Edgar Hoover building.
It is time for the Durham probe to end, and the prosecutions to begin.

Xfinity Comcast has BANNED the Laura Loomer For Congress campaign from sending our fundraising emails and text messages.
This is an extreme escalation of censorship of conservatives!
The censorship and blacklisting has now moved from the big tech social media companies to the major telecommunication internet service providers.
Comcast Xfinity, which one of the only internet providers in Palm Beach County, FL where Laura Loomer is running for Congress has publicly thanked Laura Loomer’s Democrat opponent Lois Frankel.
Election data published online revealed that Comcast donated at least $2,000 to Loomer’s competitor if she wins the primary, Democratic Representative Lois Frankel (R-FL).
This is not the first issue that Loomer has had with America’s big tech companies. In November 2018, Loomer was banned from Twitter after tweeting about Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN). In early July, Loomer was banned from placing campaign advertisements on Facebook.
“This is definitely not a coincidence.
I find it to be rather odd that immediately after news reports about my campaign raising a million dollars while being de-platformed and the announcement that political powerhouses from Florida, Matt Gaetz and Roger Stone, endorsed my campaign…that my fundraising texts were blocked by Comcast,” Loomer said.

“The group’s work will look well beyond the immediate coronavirus crisis or issues relating to Huawei and will consider the longer term challenges associated with the rise of China and its industrial and diplomatic policies,” according to the group’s official page.
Such policies include China’s economic policy, technological development, and foreign relations.
The Conservatives’ new emphasis on brushing back China aligns with Washington’s efforts against the Chinese Communist Party in recent months.
Visiting London in July, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo called for a “coalition” to mitigate Chinese global influence.

An attack in southern Iraq on Sunday hit a convoy carrying supplies to coalition forces, the military said.
Those forces are also a target for Iran-backed Shi’ite militias, which the United States blames for regular rocket attacks on bases hosting the coalition, and on other U.S. targets such as Washington’s embassy in Baghdad.
McNutt pleaded guilty in June to 35 sex-related charges in connection to 34 victims who were abused during the 1970s and 1980s.

The judge said while McNutt had done much in the intervening years to change the direction of his life, he has to live with the consequences of his actions.
The US Customs and Border Protection agency said in a notice on its website on Tuesday that all exports from Hong Kong must in future indicate their origin as China.
The US is Hong Kong’s second largest trading partner and is recognised by the World Trade Organisation as a separate customs territory. The city enjoyed special trade status in the United States under the US-Hong Kong Policy Act of 1992.
However, this ended when President Donald Trump signed into law the Hong Kong Autonomy Act, two weeks after China enacted the controversial national security law for Hong Kong which criminalises subversion, secession, terrorism and collusion with foreign forces.
The security clampdown has caused alarm in Taiwan, a self-ruled island of 23 million people that Beijing claims as its own territory and has vowed to one day seize, by force if necessary.
Foreign minister Joseph Wu said Taiwan lives under the constant threat of having its freedoms taken away by China during a rare meeting with US cabinet official Alex Azar in Taipei on Tuesday.
“Our daily lives have become increasingly difficult as China continues to pressure Taiwan into accepting its political conditions, conditions that will turn Taiwan into the next Hong Kong,” he said.
China and Iran are in the final stages of signing a $400 billion deal, one that would challenge U.S. sanctions currently imposed on Iran.
This deal is happening at a time when The People’s Liberation Army of China has conducted multiple drills with large military dispatches on the South China Sea and Bohai sea and Chinese military aircraft have frequently been operating in airspace near Taiwan.
What are the Chinese Communist leadership’s intentions in this area? Does the U.S. have the will and capability to deter the CCP and their actions in the South China Sea and Taiwan?
We will explore these questions in today’s episode of the China Angle.
“I’m angry because…people are dying because of the left…[and] doctors who have decided to politicize science.”
The overwhelmingly coordinated suppression of doctors speaking about treatment options for COVID-19 should terrify everyone who values free speech and the freedom to make their own health choices.
