Fort Worth officer fighting for his life after trying to stop crew suspected of more than a dozen robberies

A veteran Texas police officer trying to stop a robbery crew suspected of carrying out more than a dozen heists in the Fort Worth area is “courageously fighting” for his life Friday after he was shot in the head.

Fort Worth Police Chief Joel Fitzgerald said Officer Garrett Hull, a 17-year veteran of the department, was struck Thursday night near the Los Vaqueros sports bar. He said undercover units had “set up” one of the three suspects and interrupted a robbery that the crew was in the process of committing.

The Five Finger Death Punch / Breaking Benjamin summer tour keeps on giving. Though the last note has rung out, the two bands capped the festivities with major donations to a pair of charitable organizations that came from a portion of their summer ticket sales. Five Finger Death Punch donated $95,000 to C.O.P.S., while Breaking Benjamin also had $95,000 to present, with their donation going to Prevent Child Abuse America.

“We’ve had the privilege to work with veteran and police organizations for years,” says FFDP’s Zoltan Bathory. “Today we are making this donation as a token of our respect and gratitude to those who committed to protect and serve, to those who signed up to bravely hold that thin blue line between ‘civilization as we know it’ and ‘lawless savagery and chaos’. Unfortunately, every 58 hours a police officer who believes in something sacrifices everything and dies in the line of duty. C.O.P.S. (Concerns Of Police Survivors) helps and benefits the families of our fallen heroes in blue.”FFDPxBB-Check

“We’re honored to be able to utilize the thing we love to do most as a tool to help children in need,” explains Breaking Benjamin’s Ben Burnley. “Organizations such as Prevent Child Abuse America remind us that we are the voice of the voiceless and positive change is possible in otherwise hopeless situations for these kids.

Domestic Violence Motive Investigated in California Rampage

LOS ANGELES— Detectives were investigating a possible domestic violence motive after a gunman shot on Sept. 14, and killed his ex-wife and four others before killing himself during a nearly 40-minute rampage in Southern California, authorities said.

Javier Casarez fatally shot himself as a deputy closed in on him after the killings in Bakersfield, about 90 miles north of Los Angeles, Kern County Sheriff Donny Youngblood said on Sept. 14.

Ex-Disneyland princess convicted of being accessory in double slaying

A former Disneyland princess whose ex-fiancé is on death row for a bizarre double murder has been found guilty of being an accessory after the fact.

Prosecutors said Buffett lied to police when they were investigating her then-fiancé, Daniel Patrick Wozniak. Senior Deputy District Attorney Matt Murphy alleged Buffett “lied, dodged questions and changed her story” while being interviewed by detectives who believed Wozniak was involved in two slayings.

Texas Men Plead Guilty to Trafficking Enough Fentanyl to Kill 5 Million People

WASHINGTON—Two Texas men pleaded guilty to trafficking more than 10 kilograms of fentanyl through Louisiana, the Department of Justice announced on Sept. 13.

The men had enough fentanyl to kill 5 million people, said Stephen Azzam, special agent in charge, Louisiana DEA.

“Fentanyl is the greatest and the most significant synthetic opioid threat to the United States, including here in Louisiana, where as little as 2 milligrams is a lethal dose,” Azzam said.

Fentanyl is 50 to 100 times more potent than heroin—two milligrams of fentanyl is a lethal dose for a non-opioid user. It is often mixed with heroin or pressed into fake painkiller pills made to look like real prescription drugs, making them more deadly.

Most illicit fentanyl is manufactured in China and brought through the southwest border or the U.S. postal system.

The two Texans, Felipe Rodriguez, 22, and Brandon Montoya, 24, pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to distribute fentanyl.

Carolina Panthers owner David Tepper takes odd jab at Trump, supports NFL players

The Carolina Panthers’ new owner bizarrely referred to President Trump only as “a red-headed guy in D.C.” during a Thursday interview where he voiced his full-throated support for players who kneel during the national anthem.

Billionaire businessman David Tepper, who bought the team from Jerry Richardson in May, addressed the players’ protest during an interview with CNBC.

‘Leadership’ Program Uses Young People to Increase Demand for Abortion

A new “leadership” program is hoping to use the abortion stories of young people to normalize the procedure and increase easy access to it.

We Testify– created by the National Network of Abortion Funds (NNAF) – never addresses the concept of young people abstaining from sex.

Instead, it says it is “dedicated to increasing the spectrum of abortion storytellers in the public sphere and shifting the way the media understands the context and complexity of accessing abortion care.”

The new abortion story-telling program hopes to “reframe the narrative around abortion by giving platform to some of the most vulnerable abortion storytellers — particularly people of color, LGBTQ people, and people with varying abilities and citizenship statuses,” states Teen Vogue.

“The goal of the program, according to the NNAF, is to show that young people who have had abortions are the experts on reproductive rights as well as the experts of their own experiences, and must be trusted with making decisions without anyone else’s permission,” the article says.

Chelsea Clinton Claims Opposing Abortion Is ‘Un-Christian’

In an interview on SiriusXM radio Thursday, former First Daughter Chelsea Clinton decried pro-lifers as “un-Christian,” priding herself on her own “moral choice” to support women’s right to kill their own children.

“Optimism is a moral choice. Every day, I make the moral choice to be optimistic that my efforts and my energies…hopefully will make a difference,” Clinton said of her own pro-abortion activism.

Yep. That’s Chelsea Clinton claiming that it’s “un-Christian” to oppose the poisoning and dismembering of living infants in their mothers’ wombs.

Clinton then went on to complain about the backlash she’s gotten for promoting infanticide, including being called a “Nazi” (a word that apparently becomes off-limits when it’s aimed at a pro-genocidal liberal), while nodding along to a radio host’s insults toward “anti-choice people” and “gun lovers.”

Nearly One in Seven U.S. Residents Are Now Immigrants

Washington, D.C. (September 14, 2018) – A report by the Center for Immigration Studies analyzes new data from the 2017 American Community Survey (ACS), released by the Census Bureau Thursday, showing the nation’s immigrant population (legal and illegal) has reached 44.5 million – the highest number in U.S. history.

Growth was led by immigrants from Latin American countries other than Mexico, as well as Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa.

The number from Mexico, Europe and Canada either remained flat or declined since 2010. The Census Bureau refers to immigrants as the foreign-born population.Opera Snapshot_2018-09-14_110229_plus.google.com

“American continues to experience the largest wave of mass immigration in our history. The decline in Mexican immigrants has been entirely offset by immigration from the rest of the world. By 2027, the immigrant share will hit its highest level in U.S. history, and continue to rise,” said Steven Camarota, the Center’s director of research and co-author of the report.

IRS to end amnesty for offshore tax cheats

Later this month, U.S. taxpayers with offshore accounts will lose an IRS-granted protection that has allowed some people to escape a prison sentence, while it promises to continue its crack down on foreign tax dodging.

Known as the Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Program (OVDP), taxpayers will no longer be allowed to confess their secret accounts and pay a heavy fine in exchange for potential protection from criminal liability.

The IRS said that while the program has been successful “in the past,” it will close it because there has been a “significant decline” in participation.

Evergreen State apologizes for using taxpayer funds to protest family farm

Evergreen State College – the site of the controversial social justice-themed protests in 2017 – has apologized for inappropriately using taxpayer-funded school resources to transport students and educators to a protest at a blueberry farm 178 miles away.

Save Family Farming, a non-profit farming advocacy group, filed a complaint with the Washington state public school in April after reviewing photos and videos which documented Evergreen vehicles transporting students to political protests targeting the family farm in August 2017 over the death of a seasonal farm worker from Mexico.

Activists descended on the farm, protesting in the name of workers’ rights, but medical examiners and the state Department of Labor and Industries found his death was due to natural causes unrelated to his work and cleared the farm of any wrongdoing, according to KGMI.

Pelosi renews Obama’s ‘war on coal,’ backs group looking to shut down coal plants

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., is renewing President Barack Obama’s so-called “war on coal” by backing a radical initiative to shut down more than a third of U.S. coal plants by 2020 — a line of attack that spectacularly backfired for Hillary Clinton in 2016.

It’s the latest in a series of such statements for Pelosi, who hailed her own efforts to kill off coal initiatives last month.

“We had to fight some Democrats. Senator  Byrd had a coal powered plant fueling the Capitol, you know I was speaker and that’s gonna go,” she said. With all due respect to West Virginia, we’re not gonna have a coal power plant floating around.”

Republicans and the coal industry had accused the Obama administration of waging a war on coal via environmental regulations that limited emissions.

An aggressive stance on coal hurt 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, who had to apologize in West Virginia when angry residents confronted her about remarks she made about putting coal companies out of business.

FBI Not Interested in Feinstein’s Kavanaugh Hoax — but ‘Pro’ Journos Take the Bait

The FBI will not be investigating Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s (D-CA) last-second attempt to smear Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

After countless hours of hearings, a number of in-depth background checks, thousands of questions asked and answered, and numerous one-on-one meetings with senators of both parties, at the very last second Feinstein dramatically released a letter (she has reportedly had in her possession for months) to the FBI.

The “matter,” according to the Guardian, involves an alleged event that happened when Kavanaugh was still in high school. He stands accused of some mischief involving he and a friend locking a female student in a room. She found a way out. If this happened, Kavanaugh, who is now 53, was 17 years old at the time.

Sixty-Five Women Who Went to High School With Brett Kavanaugh Write Their Own Letter About His Character

Five dozen women who went to high school with Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh have written a letter to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley and Ranking Member Dianne Feinstein backing his character.

“We are women who have known Brett Kavanaugh for more than 35 years and knew him while he attended high school between 1979 and 1983. For the entire time we have known Brett Kavanaugh, he has behaved honorably and treated women with respect. We strongly believe it is important to convey this information to the Committee at this time,” the letter states.

“Brett attended Georgetown Prep, an all-boys high school in Rockville, Maryland. He was an outstanding student and athlete with a wide circle of friends. Almost all of us attended all girls high schools in the area. We knew Brett well through social events, sports, church, and various other activities. Many of us have remained close friends with him and his family over the years.”

Who’s been charged by Mueller in the Russia probe so far?

Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s inquiry into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election is ongoing – and secret.

So far, four former Trump campaign associates – Michael Flynn, Paul Manafort, Richard Gates and George Papadopoulos – have been charged, though none of the charges are directly related to any misconduct by the president’s campaign. Of the four, Manafort has was the first to have been found guilty by a jury in part of Mueller’s probe.

Alex van der Zwaan, an attorney, pleaded guilty to lying to FBI investigators during the investigation, and was sentenced to 30 days in prison in April 2018. He was the first to be sentenced in the probe.

Two lobbying firms, including one owned by Democratic superlobbyist Tony Podesta, knowingly worked with Paul Manafort at the direction of the Ukrainian government, according to an indictment released Friday by the special counsel’s office.

The indictment, which was released ahead of an expected plea deal for Manafort, the former chairman of President Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, says that as a part of his “lobbying scheme,” Manafort solicited two lobbying firms in February 2012 to lobby on behalf of then-Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych.

For months, Tucker has mocked Stormy Daniels’ attorney as a ‘Creepy Porn Lawyer’ and ridiculed his potential presidential bid. Now, Michael Avenatti sits down for an interview.

Man mowing lawn gets rained out, wins $10 million

Sept. 14 (UPI) — A Virginia man said getting rained out while trying to mow his lawn led to his winning a $10 million lottery jackpot.

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey admits conservative staffers ‘don’t feel safe to express their opinions’ at liberal tech giant

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey admitted that the social media giant’s staffers who have right-leaning political views don’t feel comfortable to speak up because of the company’s ultra-liberal work environment.

“We have a lot of conservative-leaning folks in the company as well, and to be honest, they don’t feel safe to express their opinions at the company,” Dorsey told New York University journalism professor Jay Rosen in an interview published on Friday by Recode.

“They do feel silenced by just the general swirl of what they perceive to be the broader percentage of leanings within the company, and I don’t think that’s fair or right,” he added. “We should make sure that everyone feels safe to express themselves within the company, no matter where they come from and what their background is. I mean, my dad was a Republican.”

‘Give Me a Break!’: Ingraham Says Google Offended by Trump, But Works With China

Laura Ingraham called out Google executives for expressing their displeasure with the election of Donald Trump, but at the same time working with China’s communist government.

In a video that leaked this week, several Google executives spoke at a company meeting after the 2016 election.

Ingraham asked what Google’s “values” actually are, pointing out that the company is happy to work with China and is developing an app to help Beijing censor Internet content it doesn’t like. Opera Snapshot_2018-09-14_114226_www.facebook.com

“Translation: Google is helping China silence its political opposition,” she said, asking how the results of a legitimate U.S. election can conflict with the company’s values.

Trump team’s tough talk with Syria working – for now – to stave off chemical attack on Idlib

The Trump administration’s stern warnings against plans by Syrian president Bashar al-Assad and his allies – namely Iran and Russia to wipe out the opposition-held stronghold of Idlib have at least temporarily kept the expected attack from moving forward, Syrian opposition activists tell Fox News.

“The offensive is certainly on hold, and that is in large part a result of the renewed commitment from the United States to establish consequences should Russia and the regime continue with reckless bombing of Idlib,” said Kenan Rahmani, Advocacy Manager at The Syria Campaign.

US Fighters Intercept Russian Warplanes Near Alaska

A pair of U.S. jet fighters met four Russian warplanes in the air over the Bering Strait on Sept. 11—the second such incident this month.

According to Military Times, two Air Force F-22 Raptor stealth fighter jets identified and intercepted two Russian TU-95 Bear long-range bombers and two Su-35 Flanker fighters at 6 p.m. Alaska time. The four Russian planes were about 200 miles west of Alaska and still in international air space.

Iran’s Top Terror Airline Hit With New Sanctions

The Trump administration on Friday sanctioned a Thai company found to be aiding an Iranian airline that is transporting terrorists and other aid to Syria on behalf of embattled President Bashar al-Assad.

Sanctions have been placed on Thailand’s My Aviation Company Limited for aiding Iran’s Mahan Air carrier, a state-controlled entity that has been caught sending militants and cargo to Syria on a routine basis, according to the Treasury Department.

Tim Allen Rips Apart the Current PC Culture Ahead of ‘Last Man Standing’ Premiere

Add Tim Allen to the growing list of comedians concerned about the politically correct culture’s growing influence.

During a Thursday PaleyFest panel in Beverly Hills, California, promoting the seventh season premiere of “Last Man Standing,” Allen said it’s getting more and more difficult not to offend people today with comedy.

“You don’t know what you’re going to say to offend people,” Allen, 65, said.

Social justice warriors have gained more and more influence in recent years as numerous comedians have begun to lose gigs over jokes.

Allen continued, “It is really like dancing on the thinnest ice. I’ve been in the comedy world for 30 years as a comic, and there’s nothing more dangerous right now for all of the comics I know, what we can and cannot say.”

Will America Fall to Socialism in the November Elections?

Rank-and-file Democrats across the country must be bewildered and embarrassed by how their party has drifted so far from its original values.

Republicans need to show up at the polls en masse as well as hope and pray that the most decent of Democrats will stay home on Election Day as they did when they could not stomach voting for Hillary Clinton.

Or, better yet, pray that decent Democrats cross party lines and vote for Americans who want to preserve America.

For a peek into what America may soon look like if citizens who value the U.S. Constitution and the rights it protects don’t show up to vote in the November elections, focus for a moment on the ugly chaos created by Marxist/socialist /feminist/Islamist “progressives” in Judge Brett Kavanuagh’s Supreme Court confirmation hearings before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Lawless, hysterical and venom-spewing bigots attempted to take over the hearings. And that’s not including the screams and other bizarre interruptions by radical protesters, more than 220 of whom were arrested and removed from the Senate chambers.

Is the left’s violent rhetoric leading to rising violence against conservatives?
